The MoFi is a sim card router, you put your SIM card in and MoFi uses your phone data to create a wifi connection. This is much better than using your phone as a hotspot as many carriers throttle hotspot speeds after a few gigs. The MoFi creates a way around your carrier throttling speeds. We averaged 22mpg on our trip, this eco-diesel engine saved us tons of money on gas.
