Welcome to our traveling Japanese tiny home! For the past year, it has been our project as my husband and I trekked around the east coast and midwest. We purchased the vehicle in original condition, with no prior updates, and have worked on making it suitable for U.S. camping! We remodeled the interior and put down new vinyl flooring, paint, industrial shelving and bar-top with stools, and expanded space and storage options. We also installed a new, grounded shore power cable that suits U.S. 30 amp camp power. It includes a surge protector and adapter for standard outlet power. We installed new lighting, a new propane system, and replaced plumbing hosing for the indoor shower and kitchenette. We also installed an outdoor shower. Instead of a microwave, we opted for a 7-in-1 toaster oven/convection oven/air fryer. We also replaced the original faucet for a flexible, gooseneck style to complement the industrial aesthetic as well as provide easier access for filling water bottles and pots. The camper comes with a 12V DC power Coleman fridge/cooler that has worked perfectly for storing our fresh foods. We have replaced the house batteries and they are trickled charged by the solar panel mounted on the roof. We also updated the speaker system and installed a new Sony stereo system with Apple Carplay/Android Auto. There are also two large blackout roller shades in the main cab that provide UV and heat protection. The camper has been thoroughly inspected and is up to date on its registration.
