Seller's Description

2017 Ford Transit 350 - Adventure Van Time to part ways with our beloved home of the last few months! The van was purchased new in the Seattle area by its previous owner. They had the van professionally built by a PNW outfitter and used it as one hell of a weekender. We purchased it earlier this year (2021) with just 10k miles one. We added a few things to make it a suitable family home, another 20k miles, and have loved every second of it. Because the van was used only on camping trips by its first owner, and only for a few months by us, it is exceedingly clean and new-like, both inside and out. It’s been serviced religiously, just completing its (almost) 30k miles inspection with fresh oil and filter at the Ford dealership. All of our service records, the build sheet, and the original window sticker are included with the vehicle. The van itself is a mid-height roof, 148” wheelbase transit 350. It’s powered by a 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost motor. The same motor is found in the Ford Raptor, Explorer, Edge, and many of their other vehicles. In this application, it puts out a potent 310hp and 400ft-lbs. Of torque. Even with the van fully loaded, it’s surprising how hard it pulls, and never seems to stop. On average we see 15-18mpg, depending on how heavy our feet are. The motor is paired with a shiftable 10-speed transmission, solid rear axle, and 25-gallon fuel tank. It has Ultra Motorsports off-road wheels and Big’O Bigfoot (manufactured by Cooper USA) tires for additional ground clearance and traction. She handles trails with ease and can still fit just about anywhere, including regular parking spots and plenty of drive-thrus. It also features a Pioneer head unit with Android Auto, USB, Bluetooth, upgraded speakers, and a rear subwoofer. The build consists of a custom vinyl-topped sub-floor with parallel L-track running the full length. There is also L-track spanning the rear edge, as well as along the inner walls. The result is a completely modular system that converts from full-time home, mountain-bikers weekend dream, cargo hauler, or daily driver all with about 8 bolts. The wall tracks uphold Adventure Wagon’s incredible MOAB bed system. There are two sets of rails for super quick height change. The rear bench seat can be adjusted or removed with four grade-8 bolts. The Dometic fridge and Nomad Kitchen are also easily moved/removed. The floor layout combinations are endless. Behind the custom-upholstered walls and roof, is 3M Thinsulate and 3M sound deadening material. For additional heating and cooling, there is a Maxx Air 10-speed fan, completely weatherproofed and usable in heavy rain. There is also a Webasto heating/ventilation system. It’s mounted under the passenger seat, so that when used with the Maxx fan, air cycles through the van very quickly, cooling down even the hottest nights. There are two large custom cabinets, an overhead one and a lower one. And there is a Lagun swivel table, AKA my home office. The most impressive feature of the van is its powerful, efficient, and SAFE electronic system. We looked at a lot of vans. And while I admire the DIY builders, I was terrified of almost every power setup we saw. Insufficient wire gauge, insulation, grounding, exposed to water systems, painted OVER. You name it, we saw it. I took one look at this van’s system and was sold. It was professionally installed and routed, with dedicated ventilation, and is fully enclosed. There are two main systems, one powering the 12v outlets, and one powering the 120v outlets. They are both managed by a Victron power controller and fed by dual Dragonfly self-heating 100ah lithium batteries. The 120 system uses a Xantrex 1000w inverter. The batteries are charged and isolated by a RedArc unit. There are two residential-grade circuit breakers and an emergency cutoff switch. The van is pre-wired for solar, with a shielded pigtail on the roof. However, we have been living and working in it full time. Constant refrigeration, two laptops, three phones, an iPad, and all the other little things we need to charge. I don’t think we’ve ever dipped below 85%. We’ve never had to worry about power. Even if we did, 30 min of idling, and we’d be back in business. There is also a 30amp SafeLock RV connector so you can plug in at any campground or home. Seriously, the whole electrical system is incredible. Additional safety features include a residential grade smoke detector, a hard-wired carbon monoxide/propane detector (there are currently no propane systems in the van), and a fire extinguisher. We’ve slept soundly, safely, and above all, freely. Family-friendly builds are very hard to find. This is a low-mile machine, ready for hundreds of thousands more. No, the lack of wood grain and hanging plants is not quite as pretty or Instagram-able as some other vans. But it also doesn’t creak like a cedar porch traveling 80mph. It’s one of the quietest, most customizable, and high-tech builds around. CLEAN title in hand, no liens, registered as a Recreational Van in Arizona. I’ve done my best to include all the details and below are the bullet points with links to all of the amazing products that helped to make this van a home. I am always happy to negotiate but will not do so until you have seen the van in person. No test drives without proof of funds and auto insurance. Wire transfer or cash only. More than happy to make arrangements with out-of-town folks and happy to answer any question for serious buyers.
