Seller's Description

Up for sale is our 2011 Mercedes Sprinter 170. This was built out by a builder in Salt Lake city in the spring of 2020, we bought and used it ourselves in addition to renting it on outdoorsy.com to great success. We had about 12 renters over the last 1.5 years, and they were all awesome and most put almost no miles on it- was often used just parked at a local campsite. This would be a great opportunity for someone to either buy it for themselves or continue renting it to offset your ownership costs. Depending on location, rentals for these kinds of vehicles are 225-400$ a night. The van comes totally outfitted and is ready to hit the road. You can see the outdoorsy ad here- https://www.outdoorsy.com/rv-rental/trinidad_ca/2011_mercedes-benz_sprinter_170031-listing This 2011 Mercedes Sprinter is a long wheelbase model giving you plenty of room to cook and relax while still being nimble in the city, in the redwoods, or at the beach. Water- Ladybird carries 10gal of sink water- two 5gal jugs that go under the sink and one extra one to catch the wash water to either be disposed of in a sink or toilet at a stop or dispersed depending on the regulations wear you are camping. Cooking- Featuring a Campchef range you get two burners and a small oven all serviced by one propane tank under the sink. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware. Refrigerator- The slide out “cooler” style top loading refrigerator is highly efficient and is ready for your snacks! Electrical- With 300AH of battery storage and 200watts of solar you will be hard pressed to run out of juice. Even with no sun and not running the vehicle (depending on climate) it should run 5 days of normal use on a full charge. If you will be parking longer term you can plug in the battery charger to stay topped off but this is rarely necessary. Multiple USB chargers are built in as will as a 2500watt inverter to plug in your AC components (IE laptop etc) Heating/Cooling- With a great spray insulation job Ladybird carries her temperature well. Although with no AC (except while driving) the in or out top fan can run all night pulling or pushing fresh air. A Little Buddy heater is included for colder climates. Sleeping- The “almost” queen bed is spacious with the open floor plan of this build. Storage- This thing has A TON of room for your stuff. Under the bed are two giant pull outs, and on the interior there are many cubby holes and drawers. Shower/ Toilet- This van does not have either “built in” for probably obvious reasons- they take up a LOT of room and well, frankly, kind of stink. In our extended travels in our 41ft school bus “Kit Kit Dizzy” we came to the realization that we really did not use these amenities enough to justify the giant space and complication factor in a much smaller van. We were always surprised how often we were near a great shower (with endless hot water!) or an operational toilet. If this is a necessity for you we do have some add on options that work great! We have a portable toilet that can be added on with a removable tank that you can dump as necessary in a normal toilet on your route. For a shower it does have a 5 gallon solar shower with shower tent for privacy. The VAN Itself- This diesel powered fun machine cruises easy on the highway or the back roads. Depending on loading expect 16-18mpg. The All Terrain tires (at 90% right now) offer you grip to see over the next ridge and great safety on the road. The cockpit features a touch screen “smart” stereo to connect your phone and navigation through. The backup camera keeps you in sight of what’s behind you. Overall this is a very easy to drive vehicle. It has had all of the emissions recall work done by Mercedes along with the new 100k emission system warranty. It is an excellent shape and ready to hit the road! Hit me up with any questions and for more details.
