Seller's Description

*If still posted it’s still available* ✨ Are you ready to create lifelong memories in a custom stealth diy conversion camper van? ✨ 🤩 The Amazing News: - Runs and drives perfectly - Skylight!!! Get ready to sleep under the stars every night :) The skylight fully opens to enjoy fresh air, a cool breeze, the sounds of nature, or to hop on top of the van for amazing views. - Super secret stealth adventure vehicle. Nobody will expect you’re living in this baby. 📊 The Stats: - $13,650 - 1997 Chevy Astro Mark III Conversion Van - 112,000 Miles (super low miles for vans like this) - 2 owners - 0 wrecks - 17 city and 23 highway MPG 🚐 The Van: - Automatic transmission - Has been regularly serviced throughout her life - Mechanically in great shape. It was just at the mechanic in September for a tune up and was given a clean bill of health. There’s nothing they suggested needs to be repaired at this time—she could leave today and drive to California and back! That said, I highly suggest continuing to regularly service the van to make it last for years to come. - Engine and transmission are completely reliable - No check engine lights - A/C blows ice cold - Cruise control - All lights work - Stereo works great - Undercarriage looks great - Clean with no rust - Fully working heat - Tires in good condition - Easily fits in any parking spot, most parking garages, and easy to park in any downtown area - This is essentially just a boxy minivan so it’s super easy to drive around, wouldn’t be much of a transition from a regular car. 🚧 The Construction: - Skylight!! - Fully wooden interior - Vinyl wood flooring throughout - Fully insulated walls, floors, and ceiling - Sound deadening throughout entire van to reduce road rumble - Exterior is completely sealed and waterproofed 🛏 The Van Life Amenities: - Swivel passenger seat - Blackout curtains - Queen size memory foam mattress - Extra tall ceiling meaning you can sit fully straight on the bed - If you’re 5’2 or shorter, you can fully stand up under the skylight - You can sleep wheel to wheel if you’re 5’2 and shorter, or easily pull out the extension to sleep trunk to front if you’re taller. - Boss bluetooth sound system - Maxxair fan deluxe. This is the top of the line kind that can push air out of the van, pull air into the van, and even maintain a steady temperature throughout the night - Perfectly placed hooks to hang your hammock inside the van. A true vibe. - Portable toilet for emergencies - Ideal bed layout for dreamy vanlife photos - Very roomy inside. Perfect for changing clothes and comfortably moving about, even with two people traveling together. - Having a kitchen in the van was never important to me which is why I didn’t build one in. But, there’s plenty of space for you to add a dometic fridge, kitchen, outdoor shower, or anything else you might want. I built this van for my exact needs/wants, but she’s ready to be customized to fit your van life ideal! 📦 The Storage: - Two big drawers for storage under the bed. The best part about these is you can access all your stuff from either outside by the trunk, or if you’re fully inside the van. This is awesome once you’re parked for the night and need to grab something from storage, you can do it all without exiting the van. Super ideal, especially for a solo female traveler. - Storage above driver and passenger seats. Acts as a great ‘garage’ for all your adventure gear. This overhead storage space is surprisingly big and fits more than you’d expect. - More overhead storage over the trunk area–perfect for toiletries, books, pajamas, etc. whatever you like to have right by the bed. - Even more storage in the extension section of the bed. - Secret storage box in the trunk door. This is a great spot to keep muddy shoes! 🔌 The Electronics: - Renogy Deep Cycle AGM Battery 12 Volt 100Ah. - Rechargeable, moveable, and dimmable LED ceiling lights - Remote controlled lighting strips with several light modes, this is a vibe at night - Lots of USB ports for charging phones and other devices - Simple and easy to use power station. It’s all totally dialed in for you and is very user friendly. - The extra deep cycle battery charges off the main battery to power the Maxxair ceiling vent, laptops, phones, cameras, you could even add a portable fridge! - Plenty of juice to charge all of your electronics - You won’t have to worry about waking up to a dead car battery 😕 The Bummer News: - Exterior of the van has some minor cosmetic dents and scratches around it. I actually always liked the dents because it just looks like a regular old van which deters unwanted attention. Much more low key than a shiny new mercedes sprinter van! - One trunk door doesn’t completely close but still works perfectly fine! It locks, unlocks, and doesn’t leak even in pouring rain, but it does cosmetically look kinda ugly lol. On the bright side, the exterior implies there’s nothing of value inside the van! - Maxx air fan is broken at the moment :( The fan is less than a year old and worked great up until recently. I looked into what the problem might be and it is very likely just a broken circuit board due to humidity. The manufacturers didn’t waterproof the circuit board so lots of people are having the same issue. There’s plenty of step by step youtube videos on how to easily fix this, looks very straightforward, I just can’t find the time to get to it right now. 🛠 Recent Repairs: - Replaced battery in November 2020 - Entire A/C system was replaced May 2021, every single part. Condenser, compressor, lining, tubing, control board, switches, etc….everything - Starter was acting kind of funny so I preemptively replaced that in August 2021 - Van fan was doing a weird clicking noise so I preemptively replaced that in September 2021 - Detailed and washed the van just this week, in October 2021 - This van hasn’t ‘died’ on me. All of my repairs were proactive fixes, not emergencies - If you continue to proactively care for and love on this baby, she’ll take you to great heights! 🤯 The Unbelievable News: - Despite being from ‘97, this van continues to be very reliable and dedicated to facilitating wild adventures - I sold my last Chevy Astro van at 312,500 miles, so these things can last FOREVER - In my calculations this baby has at least 200,000 more miles left in her :) 🤔 The Catch: - There is none. This is the van you’ve been searching for! The only reason it’s for sale is I’ve been to every state and seen all I want to see in our country….for now. I’m off to travel abroad! Now it’s your turn to take this vome out for your grand adventure! 🏞 She’s Travel Ready!! Looking to rehome her to the right person eager to embark on their memory making trip. 💫 It’s time for you to live your #vanlife dream! 🥳 🏜 🚐 🏔💕
