I purchased it in Washington DC with 254k miles on it. It was a plumbers van before I purchased it. It had some superficial surface rust in the typical Sprinter locations which I treated before painting it in Monstaliner. It does not have any rust around the windshield which is one of the biggest problems for these vans. It has lived in the dry Southwest since I have owned it and after treating and painting, I would consider it rust free. I have 15 years experience as a diesel mechanic and have kept meticulous care of this van. See the spreadsheet document for full maintenance records as well as total costs for the van. Keep in mind that the total cost is minus labor which I would estimate would add about $20k if you considered that. Since I did the labor myself I can’t really include that cost. I currently have a State Farm RV policy covering it for $40k. You can do the same thing. It’s a solid van ready for many more miles. This is a turn-key camper van. I just drove it 5,000 miles in the last 2 months and have been living in it full time since 2017. The only thing it doesn’t have that you may want is a kitchen sink. It wouldn’t be hard to add that feature if you want it. Reason for selling: upgrading to a newer transit. I am looking for a cash deal and I cannot offer any financing options. 340,000 miles - Top end of engine was professionally rebuilt (have receipts) at 305k. This includes new injectors. Mechanic said the cylinders looked brand new when they did the job. These engines will run forever if you take care of them.
