He is ready to explore! The sliding door opens up to the sink and kitchen space where you will have plenty of space to cook on your included dual portable butane or propane cooktop. The deep sink allows for ample produce rinsing and for washing dishes when you’re done eating your favorite camping meal. Rudy’s “kitchen” has a double drawer hidden as one so that you can put your utensils and cooking ware in one and your smaller items like napkins, plates, etc. in the other. Below is a large pullout drawer that holds an Aspenora fridge. It has a capacity to fit everything you might need for a few days of meals. The water from the sink is powered by a SeaFlo 12V water pump that pumps water from a 10 gallon fresh tank and dispenses in to a 7 gallon gray water jug. To re-fill your fresh water, simply connect you hose to the water source and unscrew the water fill up on the back side of the counter. Easy Peasy! If you’re needing some extra counter space for work or extra meal prep, Rudy comes with an additional spot that is perfect for a standing desk or morning a coffee bar. Underneath is a good size drawer with a big open cabinet below. For this build, we opted for a round table top on a swivel base on the two person bench. This set up allows multiple uses if you wanted to eat across from one another with someone at the swivel or side by side. The table bracket can be removed and give a more open couch or sleeping area for a small child or large pet. Below the bench is a dometic cassette toilet on one side and an opening for storage on the other. All spaces are an open canvas for what the new owner may need to store! Rudy’s bed is a fixed style and comes with a full size 5” foam Lucid mattress. It is cut to custom fit the space. The windows at the foot of the bed give such an open feel to the van. With a small area to call home, windows are such a nice way to make the entire area seem bigger. Above the head of the bed, there is a small shelf for holding phones while charging, books, or other small items. There are actually 4 outlets for charging phones, laptops or plugging in other electronics. Needing to store all of your clothes that you overpacked for your journey? You’ll have plenty of cabinet capacity to hold it all! Everything in the van is powered by a 3000W hr Goal Zero Lithium Battery. The Goal Zero powers the entire interior from lights to outlets to the fridge. Even the two Maxxair fans up top! With 200w of solar on the roof, you’ll have plenty of power to keep you on the road longer and if not, hooking up to the shore power plug is always an option. The system is located in the big open garage of the van with easy access and understanding. Oh, while you’re back there rummaging through all of your gear that will fit without a problem, turn on the garage lights and pull out the portable Hike Crew to get ready for the day with a hot shower. Though we can’t technically say that Rudy is “one-of-a-kind”, he sure does have the comfort and capabilities for you to make him your own home on wheels.
