Meet Jose the van, a beautiful tropical home on wheels that is waiting for it's new owners ! Jose is a 2017 Ford Transit 150 medium roof camper van. It has taken me from Miami to San Diego and back ! Only 70,000 miles on the odometer, oil has been changed every 4,000 miles at Ford Dealerships, very reliable car, never had an issue and was taken great care of. Tires will be replaced this month. The engine averages 17mpg in town, and 20mpg on the highway. I've mostly done highway driving. Car has fantastic AC for the summer months, and great heater for the winters in the mountains. This van is a custom built, I'm an architect and built everything myself. It has 200w solar panels on the roof, Maxx Air fan for ventilation, CRL T-vent passenger sliding door window, amazing airflow perfect for staying nice and cool inside during the summer. This T-vent window has bug protection screen. The electrical system is all 12v, powered by a 100Amp Battle Born Lithium battery, solar panels, charge controller. I used a Jackery power box for AC current, it will be included in the van of course. The van is fully insulated, roof and walls with Thinsulate and floor with foam boards. I'm very satisfied with the insulation, it kept the van nice and cool even during florida summers ! The bed system is a couch in the front that pulls into a full size bed in the width of the car. I've made this frame with wood. I've never seen this built before and I'm so happy I came up with it, I wouldn't have it any other way !
