After 3 years of living full-time on the road, we are selling our custom built campervan. We built inside a 2017 Ford Transit 150 Cargo medium height (72" tall) van shell. We have toured with this van across the country multiple times. The engine averages 17mpg in town, and 18-20mpg on the highway. Plenty of power to climb up and over the mountain passes if you wish. The 3.7L V6 engine has just over 100,000 miles on it. Oil has been changed every 5,000 miles at Ford Dealerships. New spark plugs and wires were just installed by Englewood Ford, and they flushed the coolant system as well. Tires and brakes were replaced in 2019 and both have plenty of wear left on them. Walls, floor and roof are fully insulated and sealed tight. The bed frame is made from lightweight aluminum bars that can hold any weight you care to throw on top of the mattress. If you need to use the van to haul large items, once the mattress is removed the top level of the bed frame can be easily unbolted to convert the van to cargo mode. The "garage" has plenty of storage for bikes and other toys. 100 Amp hours of battery power (AGM battery) provide plenty of power for your daily needs. The battery system is charged by the engine alternator as you drive down the road, so a quick trip to the store is all that's needed to top things off. The built in MaxxAir rooftop fan will keep the air circulating (this fan never leaks even in torrential downpours and can even be left open while driving down the road). The included Dometic 12 volt refrigerator holds days worth of food and keeps your supplies plenty cold. A pump style water faucet is installed for dish and hand washing. The Renogy 2000 watt inverter is awesome for plugging in computers, additional fans and other household appliances. Of course with over 100,000 miles there are going to be a few imperfections. There are dings and scratches on the rear doors and a burn mark from a cheap extension cord on the passenger seat (see pictures).
