Seller's Description
Meet VanGo, my wife and I’s passion project for the last several years. We started with the stock passenger van model (which gives perks like keyless entry and automatic windows) and took the interior down to bare metal before custom building to maximize utility, storage, and space. Sadly, VanGo is no longer large enough for our growing family so it's time for a new home. It really needs to be seen to be properly appreciated, but I list notable features below. Clean title in hand and recently smogged. Let's make a deal! Vehicle/Cockpit: * Excellent mechanical condition with just 117k miles * Two keyless entry remotes * Automatic windows * Automatic door locks * Upgraded stereo with Bluetooth functionality * Three seats with seatbelts up front (very rare for these vans, and a huge plus since there are no seatbelts in the back) Kitchen: * Deceptively spacious refrigerator that runs off of separate, solar powered electrical system (see below) * Two burner propane stove * Storage space for pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. below the stove Couch: * Large, comfortable couch/bench with handmade cushions * Plenty of space for two adults * Storage space below bench (it is on hinges and opens for access) Bed: * Incredibly comfortable green tea infused memory foam mattress * I'm 6' tall and have to sleep slightly diagonally if I don't want my feet to touch the wall, but my wife (5' 7") has plenty of space * Two adults can comfortably sleep in it, provided that if they are taller, they sleep slightly diagonally Electrical: * Two 100 W solar panels * 200 Ah gel battery (this 120 lb monster provides enough storage to go without sun for a long time) * Four dimmable overhead lights * Maxxair fan for venting/intake * Two separate USB charging outlets, each with two ports * Each electrical component is separately fused and organized in a labeled fusebox for easy maintenance * "Kill switch" wired in to separate all electronics from the system in one step "Garage" (below bed, accessed from back doors): * Large amount of unobstructed storage space beneath the bed (for reference, I can fit a folded Bob stroller in this area) * Heavy-duty slide-out drawer (I use it to store basic tools and recovery equipment) Exterior: * Solar panels are mounted on a roof back, but the other side of the rack has been kept clear and could mount a kayak or other outdoor equipment * Tow hitch Okay, if you've read this far, the features have probably been of interest to you. Now, you're probably wondering, "is anything wrong with the van?" The answer is that the Achilles heel of these vans is paint, and this is no exception. As a result, there are multiple locations on the van where paint has chipped and flaked off. Since this hasn't caused any damage to the vehicle itself, I have been content to leave things as is (I don't mind the exterior looking less nice to make it less of a target for thieves). DIY-ers can easily fix these repairs, or you could wait for a sale at MAACO and likely get it fully professionally repainted for less than $1k. Please reach out with any questions!
