Seller's Description
I am interested in selling the camper (asking $4,900) or camper/truck as a whole (asking $13,500). Everything is in great shape, rock solid and bone dry. Built and used on the west coast, but recently moved to FL for work and need a work truck, so sadly one or both need to go. I am a professional boatbuilder and built the camper myself, like a boat using West Systems epoxy, textured antiskid marine paint, wood/ply, 1.5" foam (well insulated, foam is r10), and commercially purchased RV windows/doors. There is a foam block insert to the top left corner of the camper door, it perfectly fits a standard sized 400w window AC unit--keeps it like an icebox in summer with AC running about 25% of the time. I weighed the truck with and without the camper so I know it's about 660lbs, I did add a few small cabinetry things inside since but it should still be in that ballpark. The overcab bed platform is basically a "full" size (could sleep a medium size couple, the space is a little tight for the person toward the front), and the left side bench fits an extra long/wide camping mattress. Windows and door both have screens and there's a small overhang on the back so you can crack the door and stay dry in the rain to still have some air flow. Also there is a passthrough window to the cab that can be shut. Camper setup is pretty barebones currently, as I used mostly portable vanlife equipment for the on-board systems and most of it is now being used elsewhere. I do have a few things I can throw in for a very reasonable price if interested, but mostly you should plan on getting similar stand-alone vanlife equipment based on your needs. The truck is a 4cyl manual transmission so an ultralight camper is pretty much the only option for the smaller engine. It will go well over 80mph on flat with no wind, cruises very comfortably in the 70s. MPG is great overall and can vary widely--bad headwind and hills is as low as 16-18mpg, but flat with tailwind I've got over 26mpg. Around town is usually 19-20mpg. Truck has had a few upgrades for hauling and is overall great shape for a 2005, let me know if interest in the whole setup and can go over any other truck specific details. I'd prefer to sell just the camper, but I understand that may be a big ask as it will only fit another same gen nissan frontier or should work on a similar gen toyota tacoma, and I believe some ford ranger/mazda pickups may be the same bed size but would need to confirm. When installing I just got some cousins together and lifted it on to the truck, but I have a couple good ideas for getting it transferred to another vehicle with just a couple people. If you're interested in the whole setup, I am very flexible to deliver in the Southeast area.
