Seller's Description
I used to backpack in the Cascades, southern Utah, and northern Arizona. I aged as we all do and eventually wanted to be able to retreat from the elements to sleep and cook. And so I bought this van. I hired Colorado Camper van to add the popup for $14,000 right after I bought the van. The popup adds lots of headspace with a nice roomy feel. It has zipper windows with screens, clear vinyl, and completely shut options. There is a sleeping platform that will sleep two very comfortably. I never used it so the pillows are in pristine shape. The lift is battery powered. I learned that there is a small parasitic draw on the battery which I solved by pulling the fuses for the popup when the van is parked for periods of time. The engine is in great shape. The first owner took pristine care and I was sure to have regular oil changes done. Recently I had all the fluids flushed including changing the oil. I did most of the interior build myself. I kept it simple and low maintenance. The platform bed was there when I bought the van. The passenger side front seat can swivel around to face the back interior like a Captains seat. I added a simple sink with a foot pump. There is a 7 gallon jug for clean water with another 7 gallon jug for waste water. The sink has a butcher block cover for additional surface space. To store food and kitchen utensil's, I built a support for a simple lightweight set of drawers. I did the same for a set of drawers for clothing. I bought a nice cooler for $1,000 to keep food cold. The cooler will also freeze food if needed. I used an external power source (GoalZero Yetti 500, not included) to plug in the cooler. I used a propane camping stove to cook my food. I either used campground restrooms or a portable poo I bought from REI. I added various small sided shelving racks I bought from Etsy around the van which can be used to store herbs, teas, etc... I added several towel racks to hang dishtowels... etc.. Storage space is ample with room underneath the lower sleeping platform. When the popup is raised there is room for additional storage. I used a shower tent with a solar heated bag. There is ample opportunity to continue to build out the interior and customize it to your preferred version of comfort and cozy.
