My wife and I are selling our 2008 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 camper van. The van currently has 210,000 miles and counting. However, Mercedes Sprinter Engines are known for being good for over 300,000 miles before needing mechanical work beyond general maintenance. This van has tons of storage as well as room to be able to stand and move around comfortably. I am 6'2 and have room to fully stand with tennis shoes on. It also has a table with two bench seats, as well as a very functional kitchen and cabinet space. We wanted a van that would feel like home and that is exactly what this van has been for us! On days that have dipped well below freezing, we have hunkered down in the van and the heater keeps us plenty warm. We also love that the van can be truly off-grid, running completely off of solar power and not requiring hookups for electricity/water. We bought this van a year and a month ago to travel on our off days of work. We have been blessed with a baby boy who we are expecting in July, so we are ready to settle down. ***For this reason, the van will not be ready for pickup until May 20th- June 3rd because we have to wait until our new home is ready for move-in. We can be flexible with pickup dates anytime between these 2 dates and are willing to drive to meet a buyer! We are also willing to sell earlier to the right buyer for the right price (we would need enough to cover hotel expenses for a time). We are also willing to hold for a down payment. Until June we will continue to drive and use the van to travel. This could be fixed with a simple transmission fluid change or possibly a rebuild. The van has been seen by three different mechanics since this problem appeared with one being a Mercedes Benz mechanic. All said that the issue does not affect the longevity of the engine/van and it is a common gimmick found among sprinter vans. The van has no other known mechanical issues -Passenger tail light is dull (although still working) when brakes or reverse light is on but the running light works -Minor dents from previous owners -Auxiliary battery volts on the touchscreen is stuck on reading 13.8 volts but inverter still reads correctly
