I know the ins and outs of everything in here and I have used it all winter. About the van: I bought it at 100,000 miles from a company that delivered sunglasses in TN and only put highway miles on it. They had good maintenance records and took good care of it. I have put 18,000 miles on it and it drives great, even does awesome in the snow (its heavy). I have kept up on all maintenance and oil changes very well because it was literally my house and I couldn't afford to not be able to move if something broke. About the build: I built this because I am a ski racer and I wanted to be able to travel and ski and train without paying for lodging. It has the best insulation and heater and on really really cold nights it still stays about 64 degrees inside! The back is designed for ski storage and boots and bags but could be easily converted for bikes in the summer with just a few screws and 2x4s.
