We are selling our Sprinter van that has been converted into a four-season, liveable camper. We are the original owners. We purchased the vehicle in April 2020 and upfitted it over the summer. We designed and built almost everything ourselves with help from friends and family. Though we have thoroughly enjoyed living in the van, we are selling it now because we are simply too busy with work and school to use it. The following is a high-level list of the features and amenities included in this van: * Custom birch cabinets Our cabinets are all custom built from finished birch plywood. We enlisted the help of a family friend who is a carpenter with 30+ years of experience building custom residential cabinets. The two of us lived in this space for several months and never had a problem storing all of the things we needed and wanted. There are 4 cabinets and 2 bench seats with enclosed storage space. All of the cabinetry is securely fastened to T-Slot aluminium rails (8020) along the ceiling and walls. The T-Slot railing is fastened approximately every 16 inches to the frame of the van using rivnuts. * 2-in-1 bed and table with bench seating The back of the van functions as both a sleeping and working area. There are 2 bench seats and a custom folding table. 4 people can easily and comfortably sit around the table. The table legs fold underneath the table, and when folded, the table can be positioned flush between the 2 bench seats. We have 2 twin memory foam (5 inch thick) mattresses that lay on top of the bed frame as a sleeping area. * AC & DC electrical This van is upfitted with a robust electrical system that supports both 120VAC and 12VDC loads. Electrical energy is stored in two 12V 125Ah (3000 Wh total) lithium-ion batteries configured in parallel (12VDC). Electrical energy to charge the batteries is collected in 1 of 3 ways: * 400W rooftop solar (charges while the sun is out) * 60A Battery to Battery charger (charges while driving) * 2000W Inverter with integrated charger (charges while connected to shore power) All collection sources include charge controllers that have been configured to charge these specific batteries. Several 120VAC GFCI outlets along with a 4-socket USB C charging outlet are installed to provide power to both AC and DC loads. The electrical system also supports interior lighting, water pumps, controllers, filters and other systems on board. * Water The van is equipped with 25 gallons of fresh water storage and 10 gallons of grey water storage in addition to a 5-gallon shower water holding tank. All tanks are installed underneath the van. Additionally, below the sink is a reverse osmosis drinking water filter with a 5 gallon storage tank. To fill the tank, you must either be attached to a city line (water hose) or you must pump water from the 25 gallons of fresh water storage. A dedicated faucet next to the sink dispenses the drinking water from the holding tank. * Heating and ventilation Interior heating is provided via subfloor radiant heating. The same system that provides subfloor heating also provides heating for domestic hot water in the shower and sink. Ventilation is provided via a MaxxAir rooftop fan installed toward the cabin. * Fully insulated cargo area The walls, doors, and roof in the cargo area of the van are insulated with closed cell spray foam. The floor is insulated with 2” EPS foam. The spray foam insulation was installed by a professional. Closed cell spray foam provides excellent insulation, is a moisture barrier, reduces noise, is non-toxic, and provides additional structural rigidity to the van. We have spent weeks in cold climates (between 20 and 30 degrees Fahrenheit) and have remained comfortable because the insulation keeps most of the heat in the van. * Recirculating shower A 32”x24” recirculating shower is installed on the driver side between 2 of the cabinets. We use a curtain to keep water in the shower when in use. This shower supports both standard and recirculating showering modes. You can select the shower mode by manually adjusting 2 valves that are installed in an adjacent cabinet. The recirculating loop includes an inline strainer, water filter, and UV filter to ensure water remains sanitary while showering. In both modes, water drains into a 5-gallon storage tank and can either be pumped back into the shower (recirculating mode) or into the 10-gallon grey water storage (standard mode). * Kitchenette with counter with sink A 60” kitchenette is installed on the passenger side. The kitchenette includes a counter for preparing food and a sink that drains into the grey water holding tank. * Mini refrigerator Below the kitchen counter is a cabinet which houses a 1.6 cubic foot mini refrigerator.
