Not much to look at... but super reliable with the newer Subaru engine, yearly service, and 4WD that works perfectly. Just had new tires and suspension, full bumper to bumper inspection and all red flags taken care of. It shifts beautifully, heater works great, awning is a big plus, and comes with all sorts of extras in a plastic bin that was given to us by the previous owner. This van had the original Subaru conversion done by Rocky mountain westy and most recently, last July, a 2.5 subaru was installed by Flat 4 in Olympia, a Subaru specialist. Inspections, work, and additions done by peace vans, small cars, and flat 4 - no diyers here. We bought the van in 2022, from a California resident and have had it stored undercover in the NW ever since (when not outside in the sun, sand, snow, and dirt. Besides the Shady Boy Awning and Alpine stereo with CD player, it is a basic van with manual everything, including no power steering. It's got some rust and needs a new paint job, but the upholstery inside is still in pretty good shape. Everything works on this van except the speedometer and the odometer, which stopped working about 5,000 miles ago. It's costly to repair as they don't make the part anymore - thus, it hasn't been fixed. We have ALL records for the van, even from the past 2 owners, so you know exactly what you are getting. Comes also with 2 extra windshields. We had gotten these for another van, but ended up not needing them. In addition, it's got 2 bins of extra parts, seals, misc VW and Subaru items, and seals we got and never put on. Chassis Miles: 241K (ODO stopped about ~4K ago) New Engine Miles: ~15K Downsides and things that need attention..... - Body condition... It has the classic rust issues and various attempts to mitigate and repair. - Seals....could also use some new seals in some spots. - Speed/ODO is non functional - No power steering I choose to list as good condition because IMO the condition of the mechanical parts balance out the condition of the body.
