Seller's Description

We're (reluctantly) selling our Skoolie Camper conversion van. 1998 Ford E350 with a 7.3L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel Current Mileage: 272,XXX 2WD - This van is two (rear) wheel drive, since I know a ton of people are going to ask, although its a great candidate for a 4x4 conversion... A Brief History: We bought the bus with around 260K miles on it from another couple who had it built out with some furniture. I personally stripped the bus down to the studs and realized I may have gotten in over my head. At that time, we hired a custom van conversion company called Topo Rigs in Durango, CO to do a full custom build out in the bus. They did an insane job turning the bus into a rad little camper van. The build is intentionally simple and functional, but obviously could be modified to fit your needs. About The Van: Since we bought this van in 2019 we have put about 12k miles on it and it's been reliable for some long distance trips. Obviously it is old, so there are some funky things about it, but it has plenty of power, and it always fun to occasionally blow by an unassuming driver. The graphics on the van are a vinyl wrap. Unfortunately it is too cold right now for me to remove it. The previous owner painted the bus turquoise. You can see the color where the vinyl wrap has started to peel off on the rear of the driver's side of the bus. Aside from regular maintenance and oil changes we have had the following work done to the van itself: - replaced the brake booster and had some brake work done - Had the air conditioning fixed - Replaced the transmission about 1k miles ago @ 271,XXX - Tires have around 5k miles on them, they are still relatively new. - The previous owner did install a tuning chip from TS Performance. I never really messed with the tune and mostly left the engine tune in the stock setting. - It does have a 2" receiver hitch, but no trailer wiring harness This vehicle spent some its first years in Vermont, so it does have some rust. I believe most of it is cosmetic at this point. The worst rust occurred in the rear end of the floor, and that entire section of floor was replaced when it was converted to a camper van. About the Camper Build: The conversion was done by Topo Rigs in Durango, CO, a professional van conversion company in 2020. I believe the cost of the build out was around $35,000 retail when we had it done. Unfortunately they have stopped doing van conversions at this point, but they did an amazing job on the build out. Everything you see is custom built from the bed frame, to cabinets, floor, wall panels, and ceiling. Here are some highlights from the build: - Fully insulated floor - Walls and ceiling insulated with denim insulation - LED lighting in the ceiling - Ceiling panels are blue pine beetle kill TnG - Dometic CFX35 powered cooler fridge - Dometic GO water faucet and 2x jugs - MaxxAir Maxx Fan - fan blows both ways and has a speed adjust setting. Not remote controlled. Solar Stuff: The solar setup in this rig works really well. The fridge can be left on indefinitely, we never ran the batteries out just on the fridge. Honestly we never had any issues charging computers, phones, boiling water, etc. I even charged my E Mountain Bike on it for a whole weekend of riding once with no issues. - 4x 100W ZAMP Solar panels installed on the roof - 2 really big deep cycle lead-acid batteries. - Victron bluetooth charge controller - There is a whole separate fuse box, power inverter for AC power, and a bunch of other components I honestly don't know too much about. I'm sure there are many more details I'm missing, so please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions. I'm happy to take more photos and videos if there is anything specific you want to see.
