Sold - 1983 Vanagon Diesel

Here is a somewhat rare bird. A 1.6L naturally aspirated diesel. Looks to be all there, except for tge steering wheel where some yahoo used visegrips to steer it...sigh... The motors are not desirable I am told, which makes me want to get it running even more. The neat thing to me is that the transmissions came geared down. So if a regular water or even aircooled motor were put in, it would be a little mule! (Think you'd have to find the proper bell housing, but have not investigated that yet). Body is good though, thats what I was after, and she rolls good, flat towed it home. Who knows how long it sat. Previous owner got it in the same state and sold it due to a move. Said he cranked it over, so possibly a runner with some tlc. Open to offers or trades
