Seller's Description

We’re selling our beloved 2006 Sprinter Van camper, “Avee” — a fully equipped 4-season build perfect for everything from weekend getaways to months on the road. This van has been our home on climbing, biking, and skiing trips across the western US and Canada, and we've put in a lot of effort refining the storage and systems. With a kid on the way, we need another seat and might be spending more time at home, so we’re hoping to pass it on to someone who’ll take good care of her and is excited to write the next chapter. The van is in good mechanical shape, we’ve stayed on top of routine maintenance intervals and fixed any issues promptly (although honestly we haven’t had a lot of issues other than a turbo replacement ~80,000 miles ago). There are some patches of rust on the outside in typical places. I’ve included pictures of the worst patches, but they’re mostly all cosmetic - the frame itself is in good shape. I’ve included as many details as I can think of for the build, but if you have any questions, please reach out, and I’ll be happy to answer them! Electrical - 200ah Lithium Battery (~2 years old) - 320w Solar (2 permanently roof mounted panels, 2015) - Renogy DC-DC 40A 12v charger hooked up to the engine alternator. Wired with a cut-off switch, and also an ignition sensor. - Midnite Solar “Kid” 30A MPPT solar charge controller - Renogy Battery Monitor - 600W inverter wired into battery - 12V power & USB outlets thoughtfully arranged throughout the cabin - 18V boosted DC power supply for Starlink Mini (runs off DC even with a long cable). Wired for rooftop antenna and barrel plug outlet for external long cord. - SureCall Fusion2Go Cell booster Kitchen - 2 burner Wedgewood Vision propane cooktop - Norcold 12V fridge - Sink with tap water on a 12V pump. Drains under the van or into optional greywater container. - 5 large food/kitchen storage drawers with locking slides - 7 gallon portable water tank Cabin - Propex propane heater w/ thermostat control - 4 different lighting options, including under counter mood lighting - Driver & passenger seat swivel bases, with center table dinette - 52” x 72” bed (for reference, a Full is 54” x 75”) with foam mattress. Liftable base allows access to cargo area - Floor, walls, and ceiling insulated for 4 season use (we’ve had it down to -20F or so in Canada on ski trips) - Removable bug netting for side and rear doors with magnetic closure. - Fan-tastic ceiling vent fan, wired on a timer switch that allows for “always-on” or up to 8-hour timer. Storage - Large under-bed rear storage space with LED lighting - Side ski racks hold 6-8 pairs of skis up to 200+cm in length - Optional bike hook can tuck a single gravel/road bike to the side of bed (but not when skis are in) - Sliding “gear loop” racks for climbing gear The Van - 2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500 140 High Roof (dually, T1N) - 215,941 miles (we up-sized tires at 148,000 miles, so odometer reads ~12% low - this is the real number, but indicated is 208,662) - Trailer hitch + 4-wire trailer lights wiring - Blizzard Blizzak LT tires (new at 195,163 miles). Swapped out OEM 15” rims for 16” rims w/ larger diameter rims for more tire options. - Patches of exterior rust (see photos), but frame is in good shape - Shocks are a bit tired Recent/Routine Maintenance - Oil + filter changed every 10k miles (synthetic, Mobil 1) - Fuel Filter changed every 20k miles Transmission Fluid changed @ 164,108 miles (60,000 mi interval) - Recently replaced cabin blower air motor, cabin air filter, turbo resonator, front & rear brake pads + rotors, windshield Known Issues - Very intermittent Mass airflow (MAF) sensor error throwing a check-engine light. This goes away on restart, and has not been getting worse/more frequent for a long time (> 30,000 miles) now. It could probably be fixed by replacing the sensor, but it happens rarely enough that we haven’t yet. - Low pitch rumbling sometimes under hard acceleration in certain gears. It’s possible that a transmission + torque converter fluid flush/change would help this.
