Seller's Description

1980 Westfalia with 2.0 Aircooled motor. Have not gone through this Van, and it has been sitting for and unknown amount of time. Have cleaned her out and treated the top to preserve the original fiber glass by sealing it and coating it with a thin layer of white bedliner (easily sanded to accept a spray on to replicate the oem look, or paint it to color match the Van. "Ran when parked" is what I was told....sure, they parked it and it was running, lol, and the motor had just been rebuilt too. Again, just what I was told. There are really good motor swaps and also a few shops that will sell you a turnkey motor (oem, and some offer bigger displacement) for a very reasonable price with a warranty that my shop could not provide if we were to rebuild it. I was going to put this one next in line for a mechanical restoration, and leave the outside alone, as pantina camouflage, with a new custom interior, and all new upholstery. But it will be a year before the current project is complete, and till then someone else could be enjoying this field rescue. 12/1/25 Will be inspecting and attempting to run the motor over the next couple of weeks. If the motor needs rebuilt the price will probably stay the same. If it runs and has good compression the price might go up. Next will be to get the brakes working 100% and make her drivable. The more work the shop puts in the price will reflect the added value, or swoop her up before we put our mitts into the works. All of it is work a shade tree wrencher can tackle easily in my opinion. Both sides have the swivel bases, with Recaro seats (or so I made to believe, not familiar with them. Certainly not the oem seats, but would be really sweet recovered). Offers and trades considered Can send it with the roller tires on it or a set of tires you provide(or pay for). Will post more photos soon Want one already fixed up? https://thevancamper.com/post/14955/1984-westfalia-camper-conversion-for-sale Is
