Seller's Description
This Suburban has been made into an ultra stealth/ low profile camper for those who like to visit cities and other places where vans/ RVs/ campers are not permitted and easily detected, as well as anywhere offroad. This 2008 Chevrolet Suburban 4x4 allows you to go anywhere (any parking garage, parking lot, off-road trail) and sleep anywhere. The only exterior modification is a low-profile rooftop fan, so it has a completely normal appearance. But inside you'll find a professional custom conversion by EverVenture Custom of Evergreen, Colo. Mechanics and parts stores across the country carry Suburban parts, making it easy to get back on the road quickly. Comfortable to drive, easy to park anywhere, very tough and reliable. Burns no oil between changes and cruises along like a dream. With the 4 x 4, high ground clearance and without the size of a larger camper, it's easy to find a wonderful place to securely spend the night, rain or shine, wherever you go. We are selling because we recently inherited a pickup truck and now have too many vehicles. THE BUILD EverVenture's skilled craftspeople built this long list of comfortable, functional modifications that support you in traveling and camping in comfort and ease: *4-inch comfort foam mattress on a 60/40 split that allows you set up for either 1 or 2 people and leave any unneeded cushions at home. *2 front and 2 rear gigantic storage drawers. Front drawers accessible from back doors. Rear drawers accessible from lifted tailgate. *a full kitchen setup in 1 of the rear storage drawers: a pullout extension table with room for a two-burner camp stove, a lift-up light bar, a pullout expandable rubber sink, and an electric pump to pull water from the water container of your choice. *Side cabinets!!! Easy-open cubbies to stash away your sleeping bag and bedding during the day, and an open elastic-banded cubby on each side to keep your essentials in easy reach. *Dimmable USB lighting *Reversible fan that can draw air in or out, or you can simply raise the hatch for venting without running the fan *Dedicated cubby for the included Yeti battery to power the lights, fan, your cell phone, and anything else that charges either by USB or 9v. THE 'BURBAN This 2008 Suburban is the perfect fit for a person or couple who wants to use it like we did - not a daily driver but rather an exceptional, comfy, easy-to-drive camper ready to hit the road at a moment's notice for spontaneous weekend trips or extended road trips as far as you want to go. We used it only on long trips, so almost all our miles are highway miles. We've been meticulous about annual maintenance including scheduled oil changes and all the work to keep brakes, suspension, etc in top shape. This car came to Colorado from Iowa, and the road salts used there did cause some rust spots on the exterior. These products are not used in Colorado, and not a single one of these rust areas has become any larger in the 6 years we've owned this car. The 'Burban Camper does have some cosmetic nicks and scratches, including several bestowed by our teenager learning to drive! We've tried to capture these accurately in the photos and can send you more photos and a video on request. The 3d row seats were removed for the build and we still have those, included with the vehicle. Notes: *211,000 miles *Power windows and power seats with two-position seat position memory settings *Heated leather seats front AND back - soooo nice on cold mornings! *Bose sound system *Seats 5, sleeps 2, or 2 + dog, or 2 + small additional human; back seats fold forward for the full bed *Cruise control *Airbags *Backup camera *Air conditioning *avg 16.6 mpg (city & highway combined) Items needed: *The Burban needs a new set of tires. You may want rugged off road capable tires, or highway slickers - we don't know. We'll provide $500 upon purchase that you can use for new tires or whatever you desire. *TPMS: The bane of modern car existence! At least one TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) needs replacement, so the tire pressure warning light stays on all the time. We check our own tire pressure before every trip, and carry a portable tire inflator, so for us it has never been worth the replacement cost. If you're handy, you can swap them out yourself easily ... or just ignore the icon. THE PRICE *We're listed our Suburban Camper at $14,900. That price is the blue book value on the car valuing it at good condition (see notes on cosmetic rust and scrapes above), plus half the cost of the custom build, plus extra accessories like the Yeti battery etc. *We're open to reasonable offers but are not in any hurry to sell. *Shown by appointment during daylight hours. Phone call required first to answer any questions you may have. *Thanks for looking - we hope you'll love this Suburban Camper as much as we have!!
