Seller's Description
Selling our self-converted camper van that we bought in 2019 and used on many trips to explore California and the western states. Our family is growing and we won’t all fit into the van anymore which is why we’re parting with it. The Basics: - Year: 2002 - Make/Model: Ford E-150 - Engine: V8 - Mileage: 179,000 miles (bought at 165,000) - Registration: Renewed in September 2025 (SMOG passed) - Van Battery: Brand new 12V battery The Conversion & Features: - Comfortable Bed: Almost Queen-sized bed comfortably sleeps two. Both ends are adjustable, perfect for enjoying the view out the back doors. - Ample Storage: Features a large storage area under the bed (designed to fit a 9' surfboard), a pull-out tray for a fridge, and custom-built cupboards for food and gear. - Kitchenette and sink: A compact kitchen area with a sink, running water (25-gallon fresh & 25-gallon grey water tanks), and a foldable counter for food prep. - Climate & Lighting: A Maxxair fan provides excellent ventilation, and four dimmable LED spotlights light up the interior. Includes custom blackout curtains for all windows. Off-Grid Electrical System: The entire solar setup is separate from the van's main battery, allowing you to live off-grid for days. - Solar Panels: 2 x 100W Renogy solar panels - Battery: Newly replaced 200Ah Renogy deep cycle battery - Charge Controller: 30A Renogy charge controller - Dimmable lights, water pump, fan, fridge, and several outlets (USB-C) for charging devices. Things to be aware of Rust: There is rust on the chassis and roof. I have recently treated and sealed several spots on the roof to prevent leaks. It started to rust around the solar panels which would need to be taken care of at some point. Engine: The engine runs well but does burn some oil. We've never had an issue on long trips (including a recent one to Big Sur) by simply checking the oil level before and after. This is an excellent and affordable entry-level campervan, ideal for someone looking to travel extensively over the next couple of years.
