Seller's Description

$16k OBO TLDR: - daily driver micro camper - salvaged walnut everything - AWD, 5 speed manual, moonroof - futon style bed - mechanically sound/road trip ready - driver side swivel seat - 100Ah lithium battery charges while you drive - faucet with 5gal water storage - mood lighting options - wall mount fan - electric refrigerator - single burger gas stove This 2003 Green Honda Element is a stealthy micro camper that has everything you need in a gorgeously tiny package. Yes, you've found the Unicorn; the moonroof toting, 5 speed manual, AWD stunner. This is my third element camper build and by far the best looking and most versatile. It's oozing in curvy salvaged walnut, yet built light enough to still maintain a 23 MPG. The car itself is in great shape and ready to be a daily driver that’ll easily get you to the ski hill every weekend. I've got the full CarFax report and recent Pre-buy inspection from my mechanic (also an element owner). The vehicle needed a new front axel (completed) and was recommended new rear brake pads (completed). Beyond that, the car checked out great in all areas. All systems work as they should, HVAC included, and there are no check engine lights. The tires only have a few thousand miles on them, the serpentine belt was replaced last week, and the oil was just changed. Cosmetically it has a few light scratches here and there, but no dents or major damage to report. There are no major spots of rust or corrosion along the undercarriage. There is a small bit of rust along the top roof line near the windshield but it didn’t show signs of leaking at all this past rainy PNW winter. The car is mostly stock except for the following: A new Carplay receiver and backup camera were installed at the time of the camper conversion, as well as a driver side swivel seat, rear access release handle (allows you to open the back hatch from inside the vehicle), and extra tall hatchback lift supports (you get more headroom out the back door). Yes, it has a Catalytic converter security cover installed. This little guy features a futon style bed with storage beneath, a pull out kitchen, water on tap, lighting, power/charging, a fan, and yes, even an electric refrigerator. The sleeping area is made out of two boxes that join together (removing the rear box gives you access to the spare tire that lies below it). By simply pulling out the platform, the couch becomes a bed and you're ready to relax on a new 40"x 63 x 5" thick memory foam mattress with custom made removable covers. Are you a taller human? Not to worry! This generation of element allows the front seats to be pushed way forward, creating a massive space at the top of the bed. Simply toss a duffle to fill the gap, add a pillow, and I guarantee a 6ft tall human will fit comfortably. Two 6ft humans and a dog? Probably not. The front box is for general storage and has dual side access, while the rear box pulls out to reveal the camp kitchen. The one knob gas stove is simple to use and can be taken out to cook messy stuff. There is deep pots /food storage at the back and a side pull utensils drawer. Note: By removing both boxes, you can add a seatbelted third seat back into the vehicle, no hardware needed. The wall cabinet is what powers the entire camper. It houses the campers secondary electrical system with all Victron components with Bluetooth monitoring. It has a 100Ah lithium battery that charges while you drive and there are multiple USB charging options. The 12v Socket powers the fridge when in use but can power other accessories as well, such as an inverter [not included] I'm a firm believer in good lighting so you've got multiple options here. Not only do you get gooseneck reading light, but there are dimmable warm tone led strip lights above and below the cabinet so you can always set the mood. This cabinet also houses the water system. Turn on the pump switch and the faucet works, that's it. It houses a 5-gal water container with a stainless quick disconnect fitting so refilling it is very easy as well. Storage wise, the wall cabinet offers lots of little ares to toss stuff in and above to keep you organized, but opening the main compartment door gives you a nice platform that's plenty strong enough to use as a workspace with your laptop. The wall cabinet is secured to the vehicle at multiple points reutilizing existing manufacture installed anchor points; the vehicle was not modified. While this cabinet is removable with a few tools, it's hardwired to the cars electrical system. Because of this I'm going to call it a semi-permanent fixture. The fourth rear seat cannot be reinstalled without removing the wall cabinet. My name is Sara and I own Put A Camper In It, a bespoke camper building company, though this isn’t technically one of my company camper builds. My good friend Derek passed away of Cancer last year and he willed me this Element. He was also a builder, lover of salvaged materials, and wanted an Element for years after seeing mine. He finally found this one and it was pretty heartbreaking how little use it got before his passing. But his partner and I agreed that it NEEDED to be a camper. Car camping isn’t her thing (or manual transmissions) but we agreed this E was destined to be a camper for someone. I used walnut from his hoard of salvaged materials, and a few of his tools, and I just know he would have loved it. All proceeds of this sale will go to his partner. Fuck Cancer.
