Seller's Description
I'm selling my partially converted full-size school bus. I don't use it like I used to, and what I want to do in the future means I will use it even less. $7,000 OBO. 20141 zip code It is titled an RV in VA. Just passed safety inspection in June 2025. 112,081 Miles/11,014 Hours It is a 2004 International RE3000 pusher, comuter-style school bus. Has an International DT 466 turbo engine with Allison Transmission. I am 6'6" and before I installed the floor, I could stand straight up in the bus. The insulation and floor is about 1 inch thick, and I have to bend my head slightly to walk through the bus. Has a plug-in block heater. It will start right up in below-freezing temperatures if plugged in. It can also plug into AC converter on the solar system to heat up the engine. I bought it at an auction from the Arlington County School District. I was a firefighter for Arlington and talked to the yard manager about what bus to purchase when sending them to auction. I replaced the starter after I purchased it and have done routine maintenance. The floor was prepped and sealed with Rustoleum before the insulation and LVP floor was installed. Tires were replaced in July of 2023 with Toyo tires for $3,000. Tires have balancing beads in them for a very smooth ride. Tops out around 72-73 MPH. Cruise control enabled. Sleeps 5 with belted seats for 5. Full-size mattress in the back. Bunks for 3, a couch, and 4 passenger seats with seat belts. 110v fridge and induction hot plate for food. The floor has half-inch insulation with LVP flooring. 3 solar panels at 125watts each into 210 amp hours worth of batteries. 2000-watt pure sine inverter. Nature's head composting toilet ($1000). A pump sink with 6 gallons of fresh water and a bucket for a gray water tank are used for easy filling and disposal. It's all sealed, so there is no odor. One cabnet has been installed. I have not put drawers in it yet. There is a second cabinet with 5 or 6 drawers. The passenger heater was removed. I still have it if you want to reinstall. There is a set of LED lights with a remote hooked up to the solar/battery system. Has a tow hitch installed that I used for my dirt bike. You could take it camping today or make it a complete home on wheels.
