Seller's Description
2007 Sprinter van for sale, 153k miles. I am not the original builder, but I've owned this van for 5 years now, and it's been a reliable and comfortable camper the entire time. This van is the tallest of the Sprinter line, and at 6'5", I can stand reasonably well inside. The bed is a touch short for me, but if you're under 6'3", you should have no problems. Sleeps and rides two people nicely. Solar panels on the top provide lights, power, and refrigeration with zero hassle. I've only drained the solar once, and that was bringing half of my music studio with me on a roadtrip. I love to cook, and this van's really been customized with the chef in mind: long counter, deep sink, and gas burners. The water tank is a massive 40 gallons, which translates to very few refills on a long trip. Cold water only, but given the amount of storage space underneath the bed, a water heater could be installed. Compost toilet does need some maintaining with peat moss or wood chips, but having owned this and a blackwater system in the past, I've come to much prefer the compost. It almost seems impossible, but it truly never smells. Small bench and table for one behind the driver's seat, although when there were two of us camping, my wife and I used a camp chair comfortably for dinner and boardgames. The original builder is a surfer, and he constructed this van with storage in mind. Underneath the bed fits everything from clothes, outdoor gear, camp chairs, and even a bicycle if you don't want to deal with an exterior rack. The extra space also makes for easy access of the water, solar, and gas. We've recently had the van serviced by two different mechanics, and both say the engine is in great working condition. Some exterior rust (see photo), but we've been assured it's all cosmetic. Van itself drives well as long as you're used to the extra height and length of these models. Windy days do push it around some, but not any more than a truck camper or trailer would. Gets good mileage for a van of this size, usually around 20mph on the highway. It's been a great camper for us, but we're moving to the city and are looking to downsize. Hopefully it finds a great new home!
