2003 BLUE BIRD All American Skoolie This is a 39.5 foot "Skoolie" built from a 2003 Blue Bird All American School Bus. THE BUS The bus is powered by a Caterpillar 3126 Turbo Diesel Engine. It is a 7.2 Liter inline 6 Cylinder. Has 198,473 miles on it. Have all of the records from when i purchased it. Along with most of the reciepts for maintenence. The engine runs great, pushes this weight no problem.The bus has an Allison transmission. Transmission is excellent, shifts smooth, works very well for the highway, you can cruise at 65 mph no problem! (Hills are a different story!) The bus is originally from West Virginia. Retired in either 2022 or 2023. It was obtained by a reseller and brought to Utah, which is where I purchased it, as a school bus still. Brought the Bus to Upstate NY to deconstruct it to its shell (Remove cielings, old insulation, flooring down to the metal, remove all old seats, remove the walls, and even removed and resealed the windows.) The metal floor was also wire brushed, rust treated, and painted over with a rust resistant paint. Once this was completed, the bus was then delivered to a Skoolie building company and turned it into what we see today! THE SKOOLIE BUILD The exterior is Rhino lined with the Green and Sand color. You can see the border where it ends in the pictures of the solar panels and the roof. The white is normal School bus paint. There is a forward facing LED offroad light bar (pointed more downward) 16 Foot manual awning with legs I have a kit for the awning, where the legs of the awning can be attached to the bus instead of staked to ground(not installed) The bus features 1200 Watts of Solar 30 AMP shore hookup "City" water hookup CUSTOM MASSIVE ROOF RACK up front on the roof. Can hold plenty of weigth, could likely mount various roof rack carriers i.e. kayak, bike, ski. 360° camera! Not great for driving, but makes parking a lot easier. Inverter I belive 5 or 6 12v Batteries hooked up to solar and shore power. 2 AC units One 12V Unit in the rear over the bed One 120 A/C unit in the front With full 30 AMP hookup, you can run these both at the same time. 2 MaxxAir Fans 1 Diesel Heater (Unsure of brand at the moment.) 1 Mini Wood Burning stove (produces plenty of heat for upfront, and if you get the airflow right, the back as well Furrion microwave Furrion 3 burner stovetop(propane) Furrion oven (propane. Not huge, but big enough for a normal size pan.) Furrion 12V refrigerator/freezer Tankless water heater(Propane) Water filtration system on the side spout in kitchen 100 Gallon Fresh water tank 14 Gallon Black water tank 30 Gallon Grey water tank Dometic Toilet King Size bed in the rear Hard to see in pictures, but on the far side of the bed, near the rear window, is another maybe 2.5 feet of space that is NOT mattress...yet? This Skoolie has plenty of storage under the Benches in the living area, Kitchen cabinets(Very large corner cabinet), and 2 closets!
