2002 Chevrolet Express 3500, Extended Length, Raised Roof Camper Van 61,000 Original miles - I am the second owner. The van is originally from North Carolina and I brought it to New York in 2011 - We use it seasonally and store it indoors during the off season (Nov-April) - It has never been driven on winter roads and is entirely rust free. - The van is incredibly clean and in exceptional accident free condition. While in her early life she was a rarely used conversion van, we transitioned her into a camper van utilizing a highly flexible, reliably simple, and low maintenance design. The windows allow for a very open and bright experience but shades can be deployed for privacy. The (always covered) mattresses are 8” thick and comfortable but light enough to move and stack if you want to change modes. The cabinet and over-cab storage hold a considerable amount of gear/supplies, and the under bed storage has proven highly useful for everything from screen rooms to portable toilets. The swivel passenger seat is a favorite hangout spot on rainy days and the very stout cooler is a convenient height for seating. The rear cargo box works fantastic if your adventure requires some extra gear. The box frame articulates nearly 180 degrees so as to swing out of the way of the rear doors. The box does not significantly obscure the rear camera view. Nothing really to say about her condition mechanically other than ‘no issues’. All stock V8 powered drivetrain. No tuning or performance modification has ever been installed. I have performed maintenance and repairs as necessary such as 5K (or less) mile oil changes, transmission fluid and filter service at 46K miles, brake pads, rotors, and drums ~10K miles ago, intake gaskets ~20K miles ago, new A/C compressor ~8K miles ago, and new drive shaft universal and carrier bearings (Spicer) last spring ~2K miles ago. Post retirement adventures prompted us to explore a slightly different style of traveling. We purchased a travel trailer, which we have used and enjoy, but we already miss the ‘stop anywhere’ freedom the van offers. While I have tried to make a good case for keeping both the van and the RV trailer, I have reluctantly decided to instead find the van a good home with a new owner. Edit 6/4: Since questions regarding the van size have come up multiple times I am adding them here. Exterior height is just under 8ft (~95") Length is just under 20ft (~238") Width is 7ft at the running boards and 7.5ft at the mirrors but they fold in.
