I suggest consulting your preferred lender. I’m sharing this information because it’s where some of my past deals have hit roadblocks. The van isn’t titled as an RV, so most lenders won’t provide an RV loan and will instead offer a standard vehicle loan. This limits the loan amount to the market value of the vehicle chassis, as determined by the lender, excluding the conversion value. Buyers will need to cover the gap between that amount and the sale price. While each lender’s valuation process varies, be prepared for a down payment of around 50% to bridge the difference.
