Seller's Description
This Ford 2000 E350 van is regrettably offered for sale now by its original owner, designer, and builder, Martin Miller, whose declining health makes it necessary. The outstanding V-10 engine and Quigley 4x4 conversion with manual-locking hubs means that it is built for exploring the backcountry. The standard body length with its smaller rear overhang (higher departure angle) is less likely to hang up on rough terrain. The shell, including the pop-up sleeping loft, front seats, walls, flooring, window treatments were all provided by Sportsmobile. The interior cabinetry of hand-crafted walnut houses a 1-cu-ft, 1000-watt Samsung microwave oven, a 1.94-cu-ft Norcold refrigerator, a 1350-watt hot-water heater, a Heart Interface inverter/charger, 18-gal of fresh-water storage, an outdoor shower, and two house-battery banks each composed of two Type-27, 92-AHr, AGM batteries in parallel. Marine-grade electrical, plumbing components, and hardware are used throughout. There is a bench seat for two that conceals a 10-gauge steel security chest with Medeco locks. The van sports a 2018-model Kenwood DNX874S Navigation Receiver that includes Sirius satellite radio, GPS navigation system, Apple Play/Android Auto, HD radio, music CD, DVD/VCD, and, importantly, front and rear cameras. A folder with complete service history and a binder with all component manuals are included. The history and current condition of this van is described in great detail in a dedicated 148-page book available from Amazon. The book also serves as an operating manual. Go to amazon.com and search for Custom 2000 Ford E350 4x4 Camper Van. The van is in excellent condition cosmetically and functionally with less than 57,000 miles. Note that both heater and air conditioner are features of the van and only work when the engine is running. At last check it gets about 13 mi/gal mileage and has four new tires. It comes with two semi-mummy, zip-together Feathered-Friends down sleeping bags, a portable Honda 2000-watt gasoline generator, 12v air compressor, Kelty nylon fly, two folding camp chairs, a folding walnut cocktail table, a Porta-Potti that stows away in its dedicated bay, a Naptha Coleman stove, set of cookware and Corelle dinnerware, a pair of leveling ramps, and a kit of 4x4 recovery tools including nylon snatch strap, non-stretching polyethylene rope, hook accessory for trailer hitch, various D-shackles, a number of off-road guide books, and a Hi-Lift jack. In short, everything you will need to begin the first of your adventures tomorrow!
