Seller's Description
I’m asking $4,000. This is non-negotiable. I’ve already dropped the price quite a bit from my original asking, so this is the final asking price. The only reason the price is this low is because I won’t have space to store it at my new apartment. I definitely want to see it in good hands and will miss this beaut though! Edit (5/11): will be coming with a full size Lucid mattress now. Will post photos soon. 1987 Chevy Bluebird 5 spd manual skoolie for sale! It’s 25’ long. It has 289,000 miles, but it has the Chevy 454 in it which is arguably a top 3 engine ever made. These are 400,000-500,000 mile engines as long as they are well maintained. It still drives great on long drives too. It was driven up to Libby, MT and Washington quite frequently. The Cutler Hammer transmission has about 150,000 miles and still a lot of life on it. These transmissions are robust and typically meant for HD dump trucks that are used and abused. It tops out at about 65 mph and gets about 6 mpg. The standing room is a little over 6’ 2” at it’s Maximum as well. The only reason I’m selling it is that my life situation completely changed and I’m in the middle of an immense side project and starting a small business. I’m also wrapping up some health issues that plagued me for awhile. I really don’t want to see it go but need to! It’s not your average school bus conversion and is more catered to the off-road. The Cutler-Hammer Hi/Low transmission is great on rough terrain. This thing climbs up 40 degree terrain no problem in when in low. It has higher clearance than many other buses too. You can literally sit up underneath it when you’re working on it. It’s about 85% done. I know it’s not ideal buying someone’s unfinished project. The biggest 3 things that still need to be done is insulating the front and back (easiest, quickest task), converting the bifold door into a normal door by placing insulation and plywood behind it along with building a custom door frame to match, and to re-do the plumbing for which I have a 40 gallon reservoir, water heater, and water pump included - essentially you just need to buy pex and fittings depending on what system. There is a dent and scuff mark on passenger side in front of rear wheel well as seen in photo. This can be buffed out and painted over just never got around to it.. As it stands it’s still a sweet camper rig. Features it has… - 600W Renogy solar system - 9 outlets - Lights - Deep freezer converted to fridge with temperature adjuster - Propane 2 stove-top burner - Sink (Need plumbing finished) - Fits full size mattress - Wood burning stove - composting toilet Other miscellaneous tasks to be done… - I left space to fit a Tetravan shower pan in the bathroom https://tetravan.com/products/in-floor-shower-pan?srsltid=AfmBOorQ09-AP3AWCRcQ7RzLzmDzlAdUc6KROPkxCyHz63kj0gJKi_3i - A bathroom door/wall - Cubbies/drawers in between bathroom and wood-burning stove. This is where I had my Ecowave Delta 2 AC/Heat unit. Highly recommend purchasing one of these! - Aesthetics (trim, moulding, etc) - Ladder for rear - Trailer hitch - I have a backup camera just never finished the install - Whatever your heart desires! I also have additional solar system monitoring equipment included, a transfer switch to tie the alternator to the batteries to charge them while driving, and everything needed to make it rv plug/outlet accessible (this would make it more easily incurable and can be confirmed as a motor home after this is done). Some wood included as well! It does have some quarks that make it unique, but that’s what I like about it. An oil change was completed on 4/27/2025 as well. It takes 7 qts of 10W-30. I always ran the O’Reilly High Mileage kind. I still need to replace the oil filter but will have that replaced as of next weekend. The oil filter’s PN is 51794. Edit: New oil filter in as of 04/28/2025. I’ll throw in the oil filter wrench too since it’s a specialty size for HD rigs. Please text/call… [contact info removed] Michael
