We’re HAZL & Mac, and for the past three years, we’ve been working on building this beautiful Skoolie you see before you. It’s truly been one of the most incredible adventures of our lives. We’ve poured our hearts and souls into this project from the very beginning. Our goal was to create something special, a fully functional recording studio on wheels. That meant every detail had to be meticulously planned and executed. We knew we’d need help with certain elements, so when we encountered things beyond our skill set, like the roof raise, we brought in the professionals (see certificate of authenticity). This Skoolie is a DIY enthusiast’s dream come true. The most challenging aspects of the build are already complete: the roof raise, window/door installation, insulation, subfloor and walls, and pre-wired electrical work. In essence, this build is a full “rough-in” with a 14” roof raise. Below, you’ll find a comprehensive breakdown of the build with links to verify all the products we’ve used.
