The T1N is legendary in the campervan world for its reliability and fuel-efficient 5-cylinder Diesel Mercedes Engine. This van currently has 280,000 miles, and these engines are known to easily hit 500k-1 million miles. This van gets on average 23-26mpg. This rare two-sliding-door model allows you to soak in the views while cooking without having to add a window and compromise stealth camping capabilities. The inside is fully converted with custom reclaimed wood cabinets and a two-burner propane stove and sink. The power system runs off two deep cycle batteries, charged by solar on the roof, the alternator when the van is running, or a shore power plug off the front. Webasto Diesel Furnace is tapped directly into the diesel fuel tank of the van, and is wildly efficient, burning only 1/12th of a gallon an hour. I've slept inside this van while it's -20F outside and a cozy 60F inside. The newly reupholstered bed is a memory foam matress folds up for storage, with a jump seat that folds down or up against the wall when not in use. Encounter AT Tires have only one summer of use and the van comes with a full set of extra tires and wheels. The extra set of tires were studded tires, the studs have since worn down but there is still plenty of life left in the tread. Brand new engine battery, new mini fridge, new air intake sensor, timing belt and belt tensioner replaced at 270,000 miles. Known issues: The windshield washer spray pump does not work, wipers still work like normal, could replace pump but I went without. There is a small crack in the windshield, the crack doesn't impede view and isn't spreading. Some surface rust on outside of van (very common on the T1N, and this one has a lot less than most), rust-free on chassis. Being an 18 year old rig, she has her quirks, and I'm hoping to find someone that will love her as much as I have.
