Seller's Description

This van is located in Thompson’s Station, about 30 miles south of Nashville, TN. This camper van started out as an E-150 cargo van. It spent all its life until 2023 in Western Washington where it rarely snows and they don't use salt on the roads. It has no rust and has never been in an accident. It has been well-serviced since new. I’ve got the Carfax to back this up. The van itself has the following features: - Strong 5.4 V-8 engine - Rebuilt transmission with warranty by King Transmission in Columbia, TN - New Tires from Discount Tires with warranty. - Beautifully rebuilt and reupholstered front seats by Sew Unique in Smyrna, TN - Power windows, door locks, mirrors. (If you buy a van without these, you'll regret it.) - Pioneer audio system, with Apple Carplay and back-up camera - Air conditioning - Side doors that open out instead of that heavy slider. The camper van features: - It still looks like a cargo van from the outside, so you can sleep almost anywhere you choose - The camper is insulated with Owens Corning 1½” Formular rigid foam board insulation. - Bunk that can accommodate a stretched out 6’4” sleeper and can be easily expanded sideways to accommodate two sleepers. - A MaxxAir roof- top fan with remote for ventilation - A sink with foot activated water pump - Jackery Explorer 500 portable power station to power the MaxxAir fan. The MaxxAir fan will run all night on about 10% of the charge. The Jackery Explorer 500 can be used to charge cell phones, run a laptop, etc. and be recharged using the the cigarette lighter while driving, or a 110 outlet. - A large cooler - A home-made porta potty that’s better and more practical than the commercial version. - A door between the cab and the camper for privacy when sleeping. This also allows for a quieter ride and better temperature control while driving. - Lots of storage I have owned this van for about three years. It has served me extremely well. My wife and I used it in our move from Washington State in April of 2023. I loaded it up with household goods, two cats, and pulled the largest trailer U-Haul has 2400 miles to Tennessee. Total weight was 12,000 lbs. including the van, the trailer and the contents. This is when it was still a cargo van. I spent about a year building it into a camper van. Then, in April of this 2024, I took it on a road trip, driving from Tennessee to Eastern Pennsylvania, picking up a new horse trailer, pulling the trailer to California, leaving the trailer there to be shipped to my daughter in Hawaii, then on to Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and back to Tennessee. The transmission was acting a little goofy so I had it rebuilt when I got home. Why are you selling the van? I love road trips but my family and friends live primarily in the western US. After having driven from Seattle to Nashville numerous times, somewhere in Missouri, Nebraska, or Wyoming, I decided I didn’t want to drive for three days across the US again. Please contact me with any questions. Thank you.
