We've had this van since 2022, when it had just a floor, ceiling, and some walls--all insulated with Havelock wool. Since then it's been our DIY passion-project; We added more wool insulation to the doors and covered them with wood and felt, put in a bed, lots of cabinet storage, a sink/water system, a dual-fuel Grill Boss stove, and a lithium house battery (with inverter). We installed an under-bed garage, a backup camera, and an Apple-Play system for hands-free GPS, music, and phone. Once all that was done we started calling her the Wonder-Van because she's taken us to some spectacular, Wonder-full places. While we are really sad to let her go, it's just time. We're aging and our travel needs/plans are changing. Wonder gets about 17-18 mpg and has just over 48,000 miles on her. Great turning radius; easy to park anyplace. We are her 3rd owner (as far as we can tell), and it became apparent she sat still for a long time with her first owner. He put in the floor. Second owner put in the ceiling. Good news is that we've corrected everything caused by Wonder’s previous sedentary life. Now she's got four new heavy-duty snow/mud tires, and we put new brakes, rotors, wheel hubs, emergency brake, and two new front axles to mitigate any rust. The driver's door frame was cracked and we repaired that too. All done in 2023. We recently repaired a small issue with the heater and she's running fantastic. (Records/receipts for work done are available if you want to see them.) Both side mirror casings are cracked, so you may want to replace them, but since that hasn't impacted the mirror usage at all, we've let that go. The weather-strip around front doors is wearing thin, so while it’s been a non-issue for us, you may want to repair. The body is in good shape; just a few odd things from where first owner attempted to install electricity, then abandoned the project. I'm 5'3" and can stand up fully inside. My husband is 5'10" and hunches over a bit. The bed is a modified full (a bit shorter and wider than a full) and is situated across the van, from side to side. He can stretch out and sleeps comfortably.
