Meet Izzy the travel van! She’s a great starter van, full of features to make your next outdoor adventure or long road trip as comfy and convenient as possible: - Rotating passenger seat: convert the van from driving mode to lounging mode (or remote-work mode) in seconds - Solar power and battery bank: Run the fridge and fan as much as you like without having to worry about draining the battery (even when it’s cloudy and in the winter) - Convenient storage: 7 cabinets accessible from inside the van, plus garage storage under the bed (which is also accessible from inside the van, if you’re flexible and derermined) - New! (not pictured) lowered, fixed bed for zero-setup transition from travel mode to sleep mode — and tons of headroom! - Sink setup: I prefer to use a cooler for water and the sink basin for storage, but if you’re into plumbing, the sink is wired and plumbed to be used like a regular kitchen sink, with two 20L water jugs (one for water supply, the other to catch the gray water) - A great little diesel heater: Stay warm and toasty all night, even in sub-freezing temps, for less than a gallon of diesel. Heater is hooked up to the van’s diesel tank for super-easy operation: Just crank up the thermostat and feel the warmth. Izzy is in great shape and ready for her next adventure, but like any decade-old vehicle, has some small issues: - Due for Mercedes “B” service - One mechanic reported break pad wear and said replacement would be needed soon (others have said brakes are fine, but I’m keeping an eye on it since breaks are kind of important) - Some minor rust spots Izzy comes with some extra goodies to make your life on the road a little more comfy and convenient: - A full set of insulated window shades for all windows (including the little ones in the back over the bed), as well as an insulated cover for the fan to keep heat in during the winter - A solar-powered rear-view camera for easy backup and parking (I regularly parallel park it on the streets of NYC with this camera setup — strongly recommend) - Other goodies to make your campsite homey and trip smooth (tent, sleeping bag, camp chairs, storage bins, tool kit, etc) Can deliver anywhere east of the Mississippi for a full-price sale. Izzy is a wonderful van, and I’ve loved my adventures with her: But my life is changing and I won’t get to take her out for the next couple of years, so she deserves to go to a home where she’ll get to go out and explore the world!
