Our most recent build, the 6th vancamper we have built, and they just keep getting better! Bought from auction, was a Dial-a-Ride in its past life, and as you can imagine well taken care of. Newly registered and reclassified as a motor home (what a savings!) This build is low tech, but high craftsmanship and built strong to last! See photos and YouTube video. Stats: 2008Ford E450 Paratransit Bus, 269,920 miles,6.8L V10, Gasoline, Automatic, 14,500lbs GVWR, AC, AM/FM/CD, Rear AC and heater, Cruise Control, Tow Haul, 176" Wheel Base, 16" Rim Size. Seats 7, sleeps 2. The base bus is a workhorse and runs well with no issues. Original bus electrical, minus the CB and Wheelchair lift, accessory battery in it's original location under the body, second one added under bed for added power. These are charged with the battery isolator, no solar needed. 3,000 watt inverter, 12v system runs the Bodega chest refrigerator, ignition for propane stove, lights, and power strip in kitchen. 2 burner propane stove, propane is under bus easily accessed to refill as needed. Residential size stall shower doubles as bathroom with a cassette toilet. 10 gallons of water onboard, 5 to the USB charged sink faucet, 5 gravity fed to the shower spigot, perfect for rinsing your feet after a day at the beach. No hot water, however there is a water heater to heat your shower water (can use stove to heat water as well) with USB charged shower pump with temperature gauge. Both drain into gray tank, dump valve on passenger side under skirt. Multiple lights, original dome lights run off starting battery, lights installed in kitchen and bed area run on the 12v system, battery operated remote controlled puck lights throughout with 2 extras to add where you need them the most. Rear A/C, ceiling fan, and under seat heater work well, keeping you cool or warm as needed. 3 emergency exits easily accessible (first side windows and back). Entry screen to keep the bugs out. Queen size bed. Blackout curtains throughout. Windows are extra dark tinted except front, rear, and first window on each side. Dinette seats 5. Lots of storage under bed, 2 foot deep kitchen cabinets, bench storage, as well as shelves over kitchen and bed for quick access. Carpet is removable for easy cleanup.
