Hello future van lifers! This is my 2017 Ram ProMaster. I purchased it in 2019 and retrofitted it to be my basecamp for my outdoor adventures! She has taken me all over the U.S. (Yosemite, Moab, Rocky Mountains, Badlands etc.) and has never let me down. The reason for selling is because I don't have the flexibility/time to get out like I used to and would like to pass on the chance for others to get outside and make their own adventures! I built this van to be very comfortable and user friendly as possible. So much so that I actually lived out of it for a few summers! Here are some of the vans awesome features: The van has been outfitted with denim insulation and finished with beautiful cedar paneling. Insulation is often overlooked when people build out their vans! Thankfully this combination has worked out great! I have camped out in extreme weather (-17 to 115°F) and have been just fine. The cedar paneling gives a cozy cabin vibe and also helps with bugs and such. Cedar is naturally resistant to being a snack for these critters (so you don't have to worry!) I also installed an additional window and air vent in the ceiling for more air flow. This helps you keep cool and take in the fresh air during the warm summer months. The van has a built-in kitchen area and sink that is hooked up to 2 water cans on the inside. There is a separate container for clean and gray water. Super easy to fill and dump as needed. They are also secured and out of the way. They won't rattle and tip over when driving! The rest of the kitchen area has several cabinets/ drawers for storing food/utensils/ or whatever your heart desires. The countertop has been finished with butcher block material so no worries if you scratch it up! Lastly, there is a sliding drawer on the bottom that I stored in my fridge/freezer. It stores nice and secure when driving and slides out when you need your steak and eggs! There is also a bed rack (fits a full size mattress) with LOTS of storage space underneath and the backside. I had all my hiking and climbing gear stored here. I used small cubby's to help keep things organized 🙂. The van has a toe hitch as well. I used it to carry my bikes to the trailhead but never towed anything with it because it's bolted on and not welded. I opted for a standard roof van measuring around 63" from the floor to the ceiling. I found this to be beneficial overall as I can still get into my garage (8"2') and not worry about low hanging branches while driving out in the backcountry! The last thing I'll mention is the solar system. There are 3 solar panels installed on the roof which are hooked up to the house battery system. The van and panels are set up to charge the house batteries. So when the van is off you will always have topped off batteries! (Don't worry they won't kill your actual engine battery!) Overall the van has been well taken care of. The majority of the maintenance has been completed by a dodge dealership (I have a lot of invoices to show this). The van does have a few scratches and nicks along the sides. There are also some minor things that will need to be fixed. But stuff just happens when having fun and driving down those bumpy forest roads! 🙂 There is so much more to this van that I can't possibly have it all written down on this ad posting. The bottom line is if you're looking to get out , make memories and explore this season, this van is for you! It can take you places all while having the creature comforts of a home!
