The floor is insulated as well with ¾” foam topped with ¾” plywood subfloor and engineered hardwood. The subfloor rests on “joists” that are fastened to the chassis with stainless hardware, and undercoated where they penetrate the floor. The AC unit is a Dometic 13,500 BTU system. A 12 volt Fantastic Fan is mounted in the back over the bed and pulls a wonderful draft through the van when the T-vent door mounted window from CR Laurence is open. 300 watts of solar also sit atop the roof on a stainless steel rail system. Minimal roof penetrations were made and were all treated with great care and tested to ensure they seal out the elements for years to come. The electrical system provides 3 possible power sources: shore power, alternator charging, and solar power. They are also prioritized in that order by a series of relays to ensure two chargers aren’t running at the same time, leaving you with an incomplete charge. The shore power hookup is a standard 30 amp that you’ll find at most campsites. It feeds into a Xantrex 2000 watt inverter charger w/ automatic transfer switch. It has the ability to charge a dead battery, which a lot of chargers don’t have. The alternator feeds a Sterling 30 amp B2B, 4 stage charger that gives you a complete charge from your engines alternator. Only 80-85% charge is possible without a B2B charger. The 300 watts of solar feeds a 30 amp Victron charge controller. All of this charges a 170 Ah Renogy lithium iron phosphate battery. 120v outlets w/ USB ports are placed throughout the van including one in the garage. The lights are 3” flush mount puck lights and are on a dimmer. There is a 30 gallon, fresh water tank mounted under the bed that supplies water to the sink and the outdoor shower via the tankless, propane water heater. The pump is a 55 PSI Pentair w/ inline accumulator. The kitchenette includes a base cabinet with Sapele butcher block counter top, Norcold refrigerator, propane oven with 3 burner cooktop, stainless steel sink, brushed nickel faucet, and a 5 gallon grey tank for easy removal and disposal. The overhead cabinets run the full length on the driver side and are built on a steel frame that is welded to the roof ribs for maximum strength and rigidity. The four doors are supported by gas struts to hold them open.
