Seller's Description
2022 Antero Kakadu Antero is owned by Summit Bodyworks, an experienced high-end specialty vehicle and truck body manufacturer and upfitter. This van is built to a higher quality standard than the mass market offerings. 2021 Ford Transit AWD chassis (1-ton T350) 22,636 miles RVIA Certified Off-grid capable Awesome mountain bike rig – bikes fit inside van under bed. Excellent condition showing only minor signs of use Avalanche Gray 148" wheelbase 3.5L Ecoboost gasoline-powered V6 (310 horsepower, 400 lb-ft torque) Cab conveniences 8" Sync display with navigation & backup camera Leather seats w/ swivel Adaptive cruise Rain-sensing wipers Auto high beam headlights Trailer brake controller Exterior 2" lift Upgraded Ultra wheels Carefree power awning w/ LED lighting Front, rear, and passenger side scene lighting Flatline Van Co side ladder Suspension & tires The van was equipped by Antero with the Van Compass front levelink springs and the Ford Transit stock rear. Van Compass is local to me, and the shop that did the work coordinated with them to get a recommendation. Based on that discussion, I had upgraded VC 5-leaf spring pack (VC Part Number 3028) and the Falcon 3.3 SP2 rear shocks (VC Part Number 3028) installed. It's a bit of a hybrid setup, but I believe it's roughly equivalent to a VC 2.3 package. It's a 2" lift. Tires are BF Goodrich K02 LT245/75R16 Load Range E. Wheels are Ultra Motorsports 003. Coach electrical & lighting 4 12V 105A-h batteries (5.04 kWh) charge from solar, shore power, or alternator. Solar panels & charge controller Inverter Victron Smart Shunt for monitoring battery system Battery merge capability for starting engine with coach batteries Galley light, under bed light, multi-color dimming light over bed, rear cargo light Front light bar, rear scene lighting, sliding door scene lighting Coach plumbing 18 gallon fresh water tank 11 gallon gray water tank 2.5 gallon water heater Outdoor shower at rear of van Floor plan L-track on floor Folding bed platform (59"W x 78"L) Under-bed gear storage (43"W x 72"L x 32"H) Rolef roll-down screens at rear and sliding door Window coverings for windshield, driver and passenger doors, galley window, sliding door, and bed flare windows Bed Each half of the bed folds down from the side, and you sleep east-west. I’m 6‘3“ and it’s long enough for me. Mattress is firm and comfortable. On nights after long mountain bike rides I've slept 10+ hours in there and been ready to roll again. Kitchen 1-burner induction cooktop Microwave Isotherm refrigerator Spacious pantry and storage Heating & cooling 12V rooftop air conditioner Fuel-fired furnace MaxxFann vent Other The van is equipped with an ARB compressor. Very handy for adjusting tire pressures, and it's great with bikes too. The original (orange) ARB hose is included. The green hose that shows up in the photos will stay with me. Powered Carefree awning is fully functional. Owner-added accessories The Flatline Van Co bike tray is installed on the L-track and can easily be moved or removed. I have used a variety of different bike mounts (MRP and Rockymounts) and mounting locations to fit different bikes in there. It works great. No guarantees on all bikes, but I've stored a size Extra Large mountain bike and a size Small mountain bike in there at the same time and still been able to put the bed down. Just drop the saddle and slam the post to the frame and you're in business. Those Costco Insta Crate things that everybody (including us) uses fit nicely on floor alongside the tray and makes for a convenient way to organize items. Also, I've put some stretch-cord on the underside of the bed to stash smaller items like packing cubes, first aid kit, small bags, etc. The cargo box is from Rover Vans. When I bought this, it was slightly damaged in shipping. Rover provided me with their newer design as a replacement, but I haven't gotten around to installing it. Both boxes are included in the sale, as well as their newer rear rack mounting hardware should you wish to convert to that. If you buy this van, the pipes installed on the rear will be your opportunity to talk to strangers. People will ask you about them. These are lengths of 6" PVC pipe that are secured to the rear panel with Quick Fist mounts. I don't like carrying trash and dirty clothes inside the van. With two people and a dog, giving up space to something stinky just isn't high on my list so I assembled these. They've worked great. This is about $300 worth of pipe, fittings, and mounts. The van was treated by Ceramic Pro with their Gold Package when the van was new. Ceramic Pro treatment - warranty is transferable to new owner Weight Van weighs approximately 8020 pounds with no water, full fuel, and without the Rover Vans panels and boxes. When fully loaded with water, mountain bikes, full cargo box, 2 humans and a dog, tools, food, etc the weight is approximately 9400 lbs, less than the 9500 lb GVWR. Bathroom The van was equipped by Antero with a wood box that affixes to the L-track and conceals a wee Porta Potty cassette toilet. We've never used it. It's included with the van. At the rear on the driver side, that black door conceals the outdoor shower.
