Seller's Description
Selling my 2016 Nissan 2500 with 79222 miles. This has been an amazing adventure rig and home for 4 years but after moving into a new place I realized it’s time for the next stage of my life. After extensive research and test driving, I purchased the Nissan over a Sprinter/Pro-master/Transit. Ultimately, I wanted more of a truck than a van. The Nissan NV2500 is a Titan truck that they put a high-top on. This meant that when I was driving down forest roads or snowy conditions, the feeling was more truck-like than the floaty feeling you get with the vans. Knowing that I was going to live in it for a few years I took my time and built out the inside for more of a log cabin feel. There are elements of the van that are still unfinished such as exposed plywood underneath, no cover on the back driver's side door, etc. As far as functionality and usability it’s excellent. It is a dry rig. It had plumbing and a sink when I first built it but keeping track of the tanks was a pain for me so I ultimately took all of it out and switched to using a 5-gallon water tank. I installed an ARB awning which has been great for southwest excursions and rainy PNW living. I wanted to use induction for cooking so I threw down the money and purchased a YETI 3000x and 250 watts of Goal Zero Monocrystalline panels. This has allowed me to never worry about power usage and the added ability to pick up the unit and power my home or other things if there’s a power outage. The exterior is in good condition. There are little dents here and there which I’ve included in the photos but nothing big. Anything that needs to be fixed has been. For instance, the windshield had some chips on it so I had a new one installed a few months ago. Break pads and rotors were replaced last fall on all four wheels. All services and oil changes have been done at the dealership. A new oil change has been done recently. The only thing I can think of that’s a negative is the tire pressure sensors on these vans are really weird. They’ll all read correctly, but they’ll read in the wrong position. This means the tire pressure symbol is almost always on the dash. If you request it, the tire guys will bring a computer out and reset the sensor to the tire location but half the time it doesn’t work. Anyway, I’ve spent hundreds of dollars putting new sensors in and after reading forums on this issue I just gave up. This van was lived in! There are some knicks in the woodwork, stains on the front seats, etc. The interior is in good condition but as with any home, after 4 years it's not in mint shape. I’ve put off selling this van for a year now. It’s an amazing adventure vehicle that needs nothing. It’s really hard to let it go but I feel like it’s time. The title is clean and in hand. Feel free to have any mechanic do a pre-inspection. I live in Twisp, WA. If you have any questions at all feel free to reach out.
