SOLD 2020 Ford Transit Connect Ursa Minor Pop-Top

My wife and I bought the “Buggy,” as we call it, new, expressly for use as a fun, mini-camper. Its centerpiece is the Ursa Minor pop-top conversion, which we had added soon after we acquired the vehicle. We removed all of the rear seats except one and stored them away. We built an all-purpose, easily removable platform for the main cabin. We store our gear in bins under the platform. In general we have kept the van as a minimalist rig, ready for future modifications. Although generally it’s just us two, in its current iteration we have road seats for three, just in case. From our home in Virginia we have driven the buggy throughout the continental US on multiple fun trips. With family in California, Colorado, and Florida, we’ve covered some ground. The buggy just hit 100,000 miles but keep in mind that’s mostly highway cruising. The Transit Connect XLT handles well, and is very well thought-out. We love the expansive windows and view of the road and all of the safety features it has. These include radar adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor, lane keeping, drowsy monitor, emergency braking, and sensors for blind backup (reverse sensing system.) We also appreciate the navigation mapping software, bluetooth connectivity and of course the backup camera. The built-in phone charging pad comes in handy too, as does the various USB ports and 110V receptacle. We typically get about 25 MPG. The van has the optional alloy wheels. Aero roof racks were installed when the pop-top conversion was done by Ursa Minor, and we use them for paddleboard, surfboard, and kayak transport. The van also has a trailer hitch which we use mainly to attach a bike rack. Regular maintenance has been performed since new, and a new transmission was recently installed. Recent work also includes emissions system components replacement. It has brand new tires. There are two small blemishes on the exterior, one on the front left fender caused by an errant paddleboard and one in the left rear plastic cladding caused by a slow speed encounter with a parked boat trailer. Otherwise, no accidents. Title is clear. It’s time for us to move on, due to some health concerns, but the Buggy is eager for more adventures with its next owners. We’ve had a blast with it and will always hold dear the many happy memories we’ve had with it.
