Solar panels, lithium batteries, wet bath (shower, toilet, sink), new tires, awning, lots of storage, oil changed in June 2024, and she’s a unique color! The RV was professionally built by Erwin Hymer and certified by the RV Industry Association (RVIA). The van is fully loaded with 200 watts of solar, lithium batteries (EcoTrek 400), underhood generator, and VoltStart... a boondockers dream. The RV is built on the 2018 Dodge 2500 RAM Chassis and powered by the Dodge 3.6L V6 280 hp engine. There is seating for two and sleeping configurations for two twin beds, a king-sized bed, or a mini-full size (47.25" wide)... allowing for more room to move around. We kept the van in the mini-full configuration most of the time. The unit has an 11,000 BTU roof-mounted Air Conditioning System in addition to the cab AC/Heater. The RV has a 16,000 BTU Central Furnace that runs on propane. The water heater is a 12,000 BTU 6-gallon propane system. The RV has an external power connection for 110V and has a Power inverter/converter/transfer switch 12/110V, 3000 W. It comes equipped with standard smoke, propane, and CO detectors for safety. There is also a monitor panel - to monitor water tank levels and battery power levels. The galley area has a 12V, 3.1 cu ft refrigerator, a 2-burner propane stovetop, and a Microwave Oven (110 V, .7 cu ft, 700 W). There is a bathroom with a sink, shower, and toilet (12 volt macerating) and macerating power dumping capability. The unit has two 100 Watt Solar panels on the roof and a charge controller unit to keep the lithium batteries charged. For entertainment, the van has a TV - 24 inch HD flat screen on a rotating bracket with a Blue-Ray DVD player plus the dash-mounted stereo system. These are: • Previous owner removed the interior water tank cover to get a more accurate idea of the available fresh remaining. • Previous owner replaced two drawers with shelves and utilized the original drawer fronts. You can see this in one of the pics. This allowed us to store more stuff, as the drawer bottoms were not very sturdy. • We added faux tile to the kitchen area to create a visual separation between kitchen and living area. • Upgraded 3000 W inverter Alternator Charger and Battery Isolator While driving, your Carado will also charge the coach batteries from the vehicle's alternator through an isolator. The isolator allows extra vehicle alternator-produced electricity to charge your coach batteries in addition to keeping your engine (chassis) battery charged. When the vehicle engine is not running, it breaks the electrical connection between your coach batteries and your engine battery, so your engine battery remains charged to start your engine even though you are using coach battery power while camped. This is all automatic - there are no user adjustments needed for the isolator. *If you have the optional Lithium Battery system, you should drive with your batteries in the on position. (Press the reset buttons one time as well). The lithium batteries need to be in the on position to accept a charge while driving and should ensure your batteries will be fully charged when you reach your destination.* *For AGM batteries, your battery disconnect switch on the monitor panel needs to be in the on position.* What is VoltStart? VoltStart is a system that monitors your coach batteries and will start your engine to help maintain or charge your coach batteries when they drop below a specific voltage level. The simplified version of how it works is that the system triggers the remote starter based on the preset voltage limit.
