Terry Transit (as we call her) is a converted 2016 Ford Transit 250 LWB High Roof Extended van. Perfect for a mountain biking couple and digital nomads! Selling as we are moving to Australia. When we weren’t using the van to mountain bike and work, it was stored under cover in Texas, so no snow/ice/rust issues! Interested? Make us an offer! Low tech (read: low maintenance and very little to break/go wrong!) campervan with everything you need to live the lifestyle inexpensively. MILEAGE: 204,000 miles Meticulously maintained with documented maintenance schedule. Runs very well (no issues) and has lots of life left in her. TIRES AND SUSPENSION: High clearance 2WD. Air lift suspension kit for improved stability. New Wrangler Workhorse tires installed April 2024. SEATING: Swivel seats on driver and passenger seat and fold down desk on driver side. Removable table (table top and table stand are both removable for more space) and fold up/down kitchen countertop. COOKING: Mobile propane cooktop so you can cook outside when it's warm or inside when it's cool. Also key to us never having a mold or condensation issues in the van. KITCHEN SINK: Hand Whale pump for sink water attached to removeable 5 gallon fresh water tank. 5 gallon grey tank under sink. WATER: Two additional removeable 5 gallon tanks for additional water stored inside the van. FRIDGE: For refrigeration we use a sizable cooler with compartmentalized ice (so your food doesn't get wet and you'll always have ice for drinks!). Easy, effective and low maintenance system that doesn't use 70A / day in battery power. There is a 12v connection in the fridge cabinet for those that must have a powered fridge. BATHROOM: 12v shower inside the van. Tiled and waterproofed shower cubicle/wet area. Porta toilet in the van. ELECTRICS: 100AH Battleborn LiFePO4 on a Sterling BB1260 - a great setup. Charges quickly and lets you park in the shade (instead of heating your van all day charging solar panels!). This setup allowed us to run two laptops and two phones whenever necessary. 10A powerpoints in kitchen and near the bed for when you are plugged in to external power. SLEEPING: Sleeps two VERY comfortably. Built to fit an actual queen size mattress in the bed space. Currently using an Exped MegaMat Duo. VENTILATION/INSULATION: Two hatches and one back window provide plenty of ventilation. Sirocco fan. Van is insulated with Thinsulate: does an amazing job. Custom thermal curtains installed between the driving and living areas keeps out light/heat/cold. Custom window and windshield thermal covers. The van's AC/heater both work up front. TV: Watch TV in bed using the ceiling-installed laptop holder. One drink holder on each side of the bed as well. STORAGE: Plenty of storage inside- cabinets over the bed, drawers by the bed, and kitchen cabinets and drawers. LOTS of storage in bike garage in back of van. MOUNTAIN BIKING: Bike garage and bike storage for two mountain bikes in the back of the van. Lots of biking extras. COSMETIC DAMAGE: Minor cosmetic panel damage (2019). Cosmetic only and does not affect drivability. TIRES: New Wrangler Workhouse tires installed in April 2024.
