Due to a recall, the transmission has to be replaced. It has been almost 3 months since the manufacturer (Sellantis) told me they would have a new transmission by August. They still can't tell me when they will have one but said they are working with the supplier to prioritize it. I went to the service lot at the dealership to check the van recently and there were roughly 15 Promasters in the lot including 10 Amazon Promasters. I'm sure they are all waiting for transmissions. I am frustrated and more than a little angry that there does not seem to be an end in sight. This 2020 Promaster Glamper is priced to sell $7,300 below the Fair Market Value determined by Camper Van Appraisals. The 24-page appraisal report states, “While retaining the basic external looks and characteristics of this 2020 RAM PROMASTER 3500 van, this 2-wheel drive CAMPER VAN features virtually all the options and comforts that you might expect to find in a modern full-sized motorhome. It was custom fabricated using the finest components available.” I have stayed in some amazing places and had some amazing experiences in the van but I am 70 and several health issues limit my ability to continue traveling. The van can use shore power but offers the comforts of home while completely off grid.
