Seller's Description

Hi everyone, thanks for looking at my rig. I am selling a 2002 International 4300 DT466 IHC (Interagency Hotshot Crew) Crew Buggy that I bought from the U.S. Forest Service in 2019. Engine and Transmission are fully rebuilt with receipts. Side compartments and air brake systems are in perfect condition. It needs some basic electric updates and it is roadworthy. Tires are in great shape as well. It's insured and also has a clean title in Montana which is generally the tricky part if you are buying one of these at auction in California (the usual route). Most people should set up a simple LLC to purchase a vehicle like this depending on where you live. I was going to convert it into a climbing rig but I moved out of state. These things can get into some wild spots with all of your heavy gear and crew and can fit generators, bunks, etc. It's also pretty photogenic as some other posters have mentioned if that's your thing. It's in Southern California at the moment. I did not get to perform any interior renovations so it's been in protected storage waiting for me since early 2020. All of the interior items such as the air conditioner and seats and luggage racks and harnesses are all still in place if that is interesting to you. I would consider this a project vehicle if you want to turn it into a Instagram-worthy glamper. If you just want something reliable but very heavy duty to take a crew and a lot of gear, water and generators into the mountains with a roof over your head, then you're ready to rock and roll after some basic electric work (brake lights, battery circuit cable) and a standard safety inspection. In case there are any former hotshots looking for nostalgia my rig is from Region 5 ANF - Angeles National Forest I am happy to upload more pictures and videos and will be able to provide meet and greets as of the second week of June. Open to offers. Thanks! Matt
