Seller's Description

Incredible, one of a kind home on wheels! This van has been meticulously cared for throughout my ownership. I'm an auto mechanic who has worked at shops who specialize on these vans. This van has the legendary Mercedes 2.7l inline 5 cylinder diesel engine known to go 500k miles and beyond with the proper maintenance. This van is in amazing condition mechanically, it is ready to live and travel. I've done all the maintenance and repairs for the past 6 years and would love to teach you how to maintain and care for this lovely vehicle if you become the new owner. Fully off grid, ready for weeks of full time living before ever needing to get back to town to resupply. This van has soo many features, I definitely won't be able to list them all! Electrical: 570watts of solar on the roof easily charge the 400 Amp hour battery bank that is mounted under the van to save space. Battery monitor easily displays info about the state of charge of the system. Only on multiple overcast days in a row would you need to consider charging the batteries either via the engine's alternator, or shore power. Plenty of power to run the DC fridge/freezer combo, on-board air compressor, lights, fans, charging of your personal electronics etc. An easy flip of a switch from the drivers seat connects the engine and leisure batteries for charging via alternator or if you happen to need to jump start the engine. Kithcen: This van is designed for full time living and has a kitchen capable of anything you want to make. Huge kitchen sink with on demand hot water, slide out stove and oven, beautiful live edge slab countertop, big dual zone DC fridge/freezer, maxxair fan directly above stove top to suck cooking smells right out. Cooking in this van is awesome! Sleeping & lounging: One of a kind tension fabric bed system. This living space transforms into a full queen size bed in maybe 90 seconds. An electric motor in the wall pulls a ripstop nylon fabric into a taught platform that a queen size organic latex mattress topper is then rolled out on. It's a very cozy lofted space with plenty of room. It's amazing to transform the space and not feel like you're cooking in your bedroom! The couch quickly pulls out into a day bed or an additional/alternative sleeping space. The passenger seat easily swivels around to create a nice hangout where 4+ people can comfortably chill in the van together. The driver's and passenger's seats have been upgraded to big plush chairs with a ton of adjustment to get your position just right. They have great lumbar support and are a huge improvement over the factory seats. Bathroom: Full indoor shower with built in composting toilet. This bathroom is incredibly functional! So often bathrooms in camper vans don't get utilized bc they don't have the right features to make them functional. This van has a 60 gallon water tank and an on demand propane hot water heater. That amount of water gets you 7-10 showers (turning off the water while you soap up). I'm sure it could be more or less depending on how quick you are. Super nice shower door. The composting toilet utilizes a urine diverter, so the solids go in the back and the liquid in the front. There's a built in sawdust compartment to cover your poop when you're done. This toilet works extremely well and has no smell when used properly. There's a small fan constantly sucking air out of the toilet compartment to help dry out your poops and exhaust the smell outside as you're going. This toilet can hold probably 20ish poops before needing to be emptied. I'd guess the sawdust compartment has enough saw dust for 60ish uses. Small Grey water tank under the shower for use if you're in a city or something. I could write a novel about this van trying to list all its functionalities and features... I'm happy to answer any questions you have. I'm a very clean and organized person who has taken extremely good care of this van. I've gone through and deep cleaned the whole van in preparation for a new owner. I really want the next person to have a great experience in this vehicle so I'd love to teach them all about the van if they want. This van has been getting 18-20mpg fully loaded with a dirtbike on the back. I think this is a great van to have a dirtbike with, bc unlike so many other vans you don't have to constantly open the rear doors to access all of your storage. Everything works on this van; lights, door locks, doors all close tightly, the engine has its own diesel heater with a timer/controller so you can pre heat the engine in super cold temps. No check engine light or any problems. Minimal amount of surface rust. Zero undercarriage/frame rust. The exterior paint isn't super pretty. I've grinded down and repaired little rust spots all over the van as they've popped up over the years. I've always liked how the van doesn't look like anything special from the outside so I'm not drawing unwanted attention. All the suspension has been replaced and shocks upgraded. New tie rods inner and outer. Sway bar bushings. Lower ball joints. Front wheel bearing repack. Brake fluid flush. New power steering fluid. New cam & crank sensors. New MAF sensor. Retrofitted the newer style intake manifold from the OM647 engine with a newer design EGR valve and better glow plug access. New glow plugs and controller. 5 new bosch reman fuel injectors. All of that work within the last 30k miles. Oil service and fuel filter done in last 1k miles Random things I haven't really mentioned: - diesel heater - big undermount propane tank. Only needs refilling maybe 3 times a year with fulllll time use - Rear view camera that's on all the time unless you turn it off that acts as a rear view mirror - Second rear view camera thats on only in reverse and displays on the radio screen to assist in knowing exactly where your bumper or trailer hitch are - removable bug screen for the slider door - under mounted air compressor with pressure up to 150psi - led headlight bulbs - Bluetooth head unit can be turned on and powered off of the leisure batteries to use the stereo while parked. - 50% tread on the BFG Ko2 all terrain tires - oil drain pan mounted under van so you can easily do oil changes on the road - two bike racks on rear door - locker on rear door for storing things you don't want inside - awning makes a nice shaded space outside of slider door - Nice, insulated front windshield sun/privacy shade - side window reflective covers I'm happy to chat about the van so don't hesitate to reach out!
