Seller's Description

This '98 Dodge Wheelchair van was converted lovingly by the prior owner with gorgeous, repurposed wood, and she has been amazing to me ever since! I have left the state and it is time for this baby to find its new home. The perfect opportunity for those looking for an opportunity to live minimally and simply. Bed sleeps two, with deep storage lockers along the driver's wheel well. Long, slide-out drawers underneath the bed provide excellent storage for clothing. Above the bed is a medicine cabinet and bookshelf. Not pictured is a sneaky, small storage area under the mattress, behind a door. I called it my safe, a great place to keep valuables when away hiking or otherwise. Kitchen amenities are bare-bones but functional. The sink is operated by a foot pump and drains directly out of the van. Perfect for small-scale sink projects like dish and hand washing. There is ample space beneath the sink, even with the water tank in there. I used it for my cooler. On the passenger side is a cabinet with a solid amount of counter space. There is a slide-out cutting board/additional counter space that bridges the gap between the sink and the cabinet, a super useful feature. Additional gear storage is accessible by the rear doors. There is also a very spacious and secure shelf above the cockpit. As I'm sure you can see, this van is well loved and in a transitional state. Unfortunately I began renovations I was unable to complete (paint on roof). This is an easy fix, though, and the previous owner renovated it so gorgeously I feel it is worth the time. Mechanically, the van runs and drives perfectly, but it has its quirks and vulnerabilities. Unfortunately, it has been sitting unused for a few months, and we have reason to believe that some mice moved in. There is no immediate evidence of damage, but something to be aware of. The fuel gauge is not functional. I reset the trip odometer every time I fill it and try not to push it too much further than 280-300 miles. However, purchase of this van includes one free emergency fuel canister, free of charge! There are a couple of leaks in the roof, principally in the rear passengers-side corner and above the double doors on the passengers side. I am certain these are easily prevented by somebody with more time and dedication than I was able to provide. I have not had the van evaluated by a mechanic but it passed inspection no problem in MA, and starts right up even after sitting for a while. I would have trusted this thing to go another 100k miles before anything significant pops up. Easily gets up to and maintains highway speeds. Unfortunately as it stands right now the van is unregistered and uninsured, and thus will need to be towed or registered by you before it can be moved. She's not perfect, but she is a ton of fun. I loved the time I got in this thing, and am sad but grateful to be passing it on to its next adventure. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. The price is negotiable to reasonable offers.
