Seller's Description
2008 Dodge Sprinter Van - VANLIFE READY I bought this 2008 Dodge Sprinter 2500 170WB high roof (Mercedes mechanics, Dodge branding) from a French couple who converted it in April 2018 and lived in it full time. I have enjoyed part time living, with long cross country trips home from San Diego to Toronto and up the 395 every summer. This van is stealth, so you can as easily stay in big cities. There is a tradesman door separating the drivers compartment from the van, which made me feel very safe solo traveling and felt like apartment opposed to car living. Ultimately this van is made for full time living, with its huge storage space inside, with many secret nooks, and large garage. The prior owners were very active and Youtube recorded some of their adventures in sand, rock and mud. Their van tour (with English subtitles) is available on Youtube, @pruneandleo. Note that there have been added improvements since, including lithium batteries. The van was built to be simple to maintain/repair. Mechanically this van is very young, and does not reflect its 320K miles. The previous owners took really good care of it, servicing it frequently. Those Mercedes vans can last a very long time (500K+), especially with all the new parts they replaced (see the list below). The Van Build features: Kitchen: 12V Dometic fridge CFX 65W, super energy efficient and quiet Faucet with foot pump activated spigot 5 Gallon drinking water with auto dispenser behind drivers seat 2 burner high altitude camping stove to cook inside or outside, with optional 10 lbs refillable propane tank Optional 700w microwave and camp BBQ (I'm a lazy cook) Single burner inversion cook plate Full size countertop (59” long) Electric kettle, spice rack, full utensil drawer, espresso pot, rice cooker, mini food processor, mixing bowls, etc. 7 gallons clean water tank and 6 gallons grey water tank under sink with 5 gallon spare tank in back Bed: Permanent full size bed (no need to fold it every morning), with a 4” mattress and a 2” topper. Garage: A massive organized garage space to store all your camping gear, winter/summer clothes, wood, ladder, solar shower, shoes, etc. 3 Large storage boxes and 3 small storage boxes Bonus: Rear camera connected to rear view mirror screen (and front view camera, for recording) All terrain tires Passed Smog Dec 2, 2024 and Cali Registration paid to September 2025 Windshield and window shade Fire extinguisher Two traction mats Snow chains Emergency tire pump and engine cables Telescopic Ladder Propane detector Small portable shovel Full toolbox with spare parts (locks, fuse, lights, etc.) Fully stocked kitchen with all bowls, plates, espresso maker, kettle, utensils, rice cooker, etc. Foldable camping chair What can be improved: Have a wire broken to wheel sensor, in process of repair as affects ADS and Traction control lights The body had some obvious small dents and minor scratches, but the structure is sound. It could need in the future paint job. The motors controlling the mirrors are broken, but do not worth repairing, in my opinion, you can move them manually.
